Where is Mariah Carey? She had to have one I mean Whitney and Celine have one

Lara has this beautiful ability to sustain a note but also guide it through different tones while doing it.

Her vocal placement has such grace to it, because you can physically see the modulation in her mouth as she sings and it's breathtaking.

I would have said that the rest of the vocalists within this video start on one note, ending on the same or towards the end, in order to sustain the note, they flourish through vibrato.

Lara takes you on a melodic journey with that note, and that is just one example.

There is no strain, no uncomfortability - she just glides through so effortlessly as if she was simply breathing.

I love how dynamic Leona's is. Much more difficult than just sustaining a note - phrasing a notable amount of words, switching between sustaining notes with vibrato to belting higher notes with more volume and coming back down again to sustained belt with vibrato. The way she glides through it all so effortlessly! Leona in her prime had top tier breath control. I'm sure she could've given us sustained notes for 20+ seconds if she really wanted to.

this video is quite a disappointment, despite being fairly well put together, simply bc the lack of recognition for katrina's vocal prowess! that woman's got lungs for days & (i thought) we all knew it!
