GoPro Hero10 is obviously the winner, producing clear images for both the subject and the background, and with better anti-vibration performance, much better than the more expensive ZV-1.

Stuff looks real on the hero 10 the other camera seems to be bright but faded

Sony zv1 is so much more expensive than the gopro. The 11 is £400 the zv1 is £700. Almost double.

Great video. What kind of vlogging camera would you suggest for long periods of recording? potentially 12 hours, of course I would have to change batteries and what not. Compact camera preferably one that can be worn on the chest area.

I dont know why camera nowadays still didn't use eis at the same level stabilisation like an action cam

Thank you for the comparisons. I recently bought a Hero 10 last minute before a long trip. Unfortunately I left the camera pretty much the default 4K settings on 24FPS. Aside from even your comments on the Sony, just seeing the different modes on the GoPro makes me realize I need to fully explore it before even looking at another camera! I recorded the Hai Van pass in Vietnam and while decent I could have captured it MUCH better.

Go pro is deffo better at stabalizing the image but terrible in low light so ide simply just put a small clip on light on this,im still using the gopro 7 for my cideos and im very happybwith it.

I'd get a major nausea if I was to watch a 30 mins on-the-move video made with ZV1. While it's image stabilization feels more natural, there is still quite a lot of image movement taking place.

Super helpful video. I’m going to start with a GoPro then add a vlog camera later. The super wide view on the GoPro is just what I need for my video needs 🤩

I am a big fan of the GoPro its stable and the nice jungle tropical area behind you is in focus. The ZV1 has bokeh and everything is blurred and shakey, also the wider field of view is better for perspective all while fitting in the pocket.

I have the go pro 7 and 10 and i dropped my gopro of a roof of about 15 feet by accident it fell out if my pocket and it still works so im going to stick with the gopro

What do you guys think is the best camera for gym videos?

If I get caught in the rain, my GoPro will continue to shine while my ZV-1 will stay in the truck, or my bag.

gopro keeps everything in focus so I can see everything in the background!

The thing I never knew about the GoPro until spending the money and you didn't mention it here is how fast it will shut off due to overheating when you use the 4K setting. No one talks about this. On a sunny or hot day it's only good for maybe 10 minutes before it shuts off. People make excuses about this but mostly they don't mention it at all and it's a huge failing of the product. Electronics being used normally should not overheat and shut off. How is that not a defect?

Outside image quality the GoPro totally blew the Sony away😮

If all i cared about was my face, id go Sony. But all the stuff around me as a travel nurse will always better. Yay travel. End the ego.

This is super helpful. We vlog our family Disney trips on the GoPro Hero 10 and absolutely love this camera. I've been thinking about changing to the Sony ZV-1 and tbh, I dont think we will. I want to click some travel photos, videos. Not like bike ride type or bikers type videos but still some vlogging videos, some cinematic videos and some good photos.

What should I buy Action Camera like Insta360 Ace pro or Point&Shoot camera like Sony ZV-1 or ZV-1F??

They both have their place. If GoPro levels up the night sensor it would blow them out the park

I have a Sony ZV1 and I love it! But I just got a GoPro for my bday. The hero 12. With the media mod. My first GoPro and I’m actually really impressed. Great little camera to throw in a pocket and vlog. In good light, it’s great! And I like the colors and dynamic range, and yes, the FOV. Love the GoPro! Just a fun little camera. And I don’t even use it for action. Just a pocket camera. And good still photos. Still love the Sony, but the GoPro is a tiny beast. Great comparison!

Totally depends on your style of vlog. For example travel vlog, if you do a lot of actions then gopro, if you love artistic type of travel vlog, then traditional camera

gopro looks way better outside, my opinion
