Finally, a hybrid I'd love to own. When you wind up that engine, my closed captioning says "music".
ОтветитьShould've done it with a International Scout Traveller.
ОтветитьBeautiful machine, thanks for sharing.
Looking good Jay!
He was born on Sep 2 = Virgo :)
People born under this sign are true perfectionists :)
I had a 1980 Grand Wagoneer back in the day, it got 8 miles to the gallon. My gas gauge was broken and I was always running out of gas. I wonder what mileage this one gets?
ОтветитьIf you want an unreliable Italian Jeep, Stellantis has plenty for sale.
ОтветитьIt's a cool car, saw it at the reno Cars Museum.
ОтветитьI worked at Bill Harrah’s Reno Mercedes/Datsun dealership in the late 70’s. He dropped by one day and we got to meet him. Nice fellow. He died less than a year later.
ОтветитьThe first SUV
ОтветитьI need those headlight wipers for mine.
Ответитьnice Ferreep!
ОтветитьHey Jay, How about an unusual pair of guests? David Frieburger and Mike Finnegin from Roadkill and maybe have one of their crazy vehicles.
ОтветитьMany sports cars sound like trucks, but this truck sounds like a sports car.
Ответить❤😊
ОтветитьWhat a shame, destroyed a perfectly good Jeep
ОтветитьSo basically he invented the Trackhawk
ОтветитьCool, huh!
ОтветитьI love how the hood bounces up and down. I guess I'd bounce up and down if I was in the hood on this thing! What a wonderful vehicle!
ОтветитьToo bad Ferrari let the Sultan of Brunei order whatever he wanted, and not Bill Harrah. Could of had some more cool cars on the road
ОтветитьI know a guy who grew up in McCall, ID when Harrah bought the lodge. He drove that thing up there at least once. Told my former coworker that he wanted to get between the casinos fast in any weather. He also shipped the loader and tractor from the lodge to his shop and had them completely restored before returning them to Idaho.
Ответитьgreat episode! (small detail crater lake is the deepest lake in usa not tahoe)
ОтветитьI like❤
ОтветитьRemember seeing this Wagoneer at the Harrah Automobile Museum in the 80’s. Was said Bill Harrah would race people in it.
ОтветитьLet whistlindiesel test it
ОтветитьI also liked the VW bus with the British Buick V-8. It was white and made up originally to stage and chase competition hang gliders. Fantastic.
ОтветитьWasn’t the helicopter race against Bill’s Ferrari Daytona?
Ответитьwhy? why would you take out the most reliable engine in the world and replace it with overpriced junk? amc 258 straight 6 was the best. these dont handle well at speed. more money than brains.🍻
ОтветитьWow, I remember reading about this as a kid in what was then the "Bible" of the car world, Road and Track.
ОтветитьHe could have just modified an AMC 401 and easily made more than 350 hp.
ОтветитьI would like a side-segment from JLG with strictly dyno runs. Would love to see the power curves on those old airline engines lol
ОтветитьJay...looking back when you were a kid back in his casino, what do you think that kid would say if you went back and told him you'd be driving Bill's Jerrari?
ОтветитьLiving in Reno, I saw it quite often, when it was being used.
ОтветитьSo cool, my MAN
ОтветитьSome guy swapped a Ferrari motor into a subaru and takes it rallying. You should try to get him on, it's a super cool car
ОтветитьJay will probably never see this. But was bill the inspiration for your collection of fine and rare automobiles?
ОтветитьFor those that don't know the badge on the hood features Popeyes friend Eugene the Jeep from the 1930's
ОтветитьThe concept of a desert to mountain snow Ferrari/Jeep combo vehicle is totally out there! But I don't just like it I love it! Beautiful ride !! Thx Jay 👍😊
ОтветитьA jeep product mixed with a Ferrari product must be the most unreliable vehicle ever conceived....lol.
ОтветитьI’m confused did he go to Tahoe?
ОтветитьI saw this Jeep at the casino in the early 1990s and saw the collection in the mid 1970s when I was only 7. I grew up in Vacaville CA and at the Nut Tree Harras would bring some of their cars down for exhibet once a year. I had pics of me in front of the Phantom Delahaye and a Sopwith Camel. Once there was a Ferrari club show and picnic, I was 12 and riding my bicycle no handed near their show cars and had my handlebars poking through the handgrips, and it took me years to figure out why they didnt like what I was doing!
ОтветитьThat is GORGEOUS . And the Ultimate " Sleeper " . Nothing sounds like a V-12 Ferrari .
ОтветитьToo bad it wasn't a Chief Cherokee, 4 doors are mom cars...
ОтветитьVery cool story, wonderful jays here on the internet to share it with us
ОтветитьThank you Jay, Awesome to see you doing better.. 07
ОтветитьHave @Wonderful New Year's ! / / thanks
ОтветитьUhhh i think he's getting a Ferrari lawsit soon XD
ОтветитьThe sounds transports me back to watching 'rendezvous', a 9 minute black n white musical symphony.
