Thanks for the video! Curious if you have any content where you show how you package your products that are being mailed out?
ОтветитьThe best video ever... Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьThanks for this overview…you’re amazing with sharing your learning. You’re also so organised with marketing! I hear this from many studio potters that they hate social media…as for me, I hate table sales so SM would be my method too.
ОтветитьI'm slowly working my way up to adding ceramics to my artistic offerings and back when I decided to be more serious about it I found your earlier video about doing a product drop, noticed you had fantastic pottery videos, and have followed along since. Thanks for the great content!
ОтветитьThanks so very much!
This information has been quite invaluable for me, I am attempting to begin an online pottery biz in March. I appreciate your guidance
THANKS HEAPS
Great video thank you for sharing this information.
ОтветитьGreat content!!! Exactly what I needed to know! Have been thinking of doing this for a couple of years now but wasn't sure how to proceed.... your step-by-step process makes it seem quite do-able!
Thanks for your time and experience!!!
شما گفتین چای سیاه دوست دارین پس پیشنهاد میکنم چای ایرانی هم امتحان کنین 😊👍🏻
ОтветитьWhat an excellent video. Thank you so for sharing your process. Been making pottery for over 30 years but have never tried online (tech challenged). Will not give it a try.
Ответитьwhat type app do you use for the camera shutter on your iPad? I have been going back and forth to snap pics or set the timer, while not being able to see what I am photographing.
ОтветитьI now have a Tepui Keramik Pinterest Profile thanks to you! hahaha this video was amazing!!!! Love all of your videos :)
ОтветитьThis was so helpful! Thank you!!!
ОтветитьThis is very useful. I am collecting advice about white glazes at the moment. Could you please tell me what you think the best glaze is to use in top of speckled clay. Glossy and matt. Thanks
ОтветитьNice video..can you talk about shipping?
ОтветитьThis is such a helpful video! I've learned so much from all of your vids and it's made a world of difference for me starting out a pottery business :)
ОтветитьAfter you didn't have any sales from your first shop update, how long did it take to make your first sale?
ОтветитьI just made my first sale yesterday! I made four French onion soup bowls, and got paid more than I asked for.
That was cool. I want to be a professional artist.
You are always inspirational and informative! Big thank you, from Ontario, Canada🇨🇦
Ответить❤what an informative presentation! Thank you!!!!
ОтветитьAwesome ! Accidentally reached you. Great stuff ! Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing about using overcast lighting. I knew about using natural lighting when taking pictures of my pieces but you're right about the lighting be harsh on the pieces. This video really helped me. Thank you!!
ОтветитьThank you for this incredibly helpful info!
ОтветитьHow do you reconcile all the time you put into making your work and the amount of $ you actually make. There's creating the form, trimming, drying, firing, surface design, glazing- for me right there I'm probably making a very little per hour. The ad all the stuff you just explained in this video. Photography (time consuming), posting on social media, inventory, packaging and sending and if you're doing art fairs, packing up heavy boxes, travel, setting up, talking with people all looooong day, packing up again, travel again. If you think about being paid hourly, it seems you'd actually be 'loosing money'. how do ya'll reconcile this? is it just a labor of love thing and if you sell some pieces that's a little extra treat? can a single person really make a living at this or do you need a wealthy partner? 🤪
ОтветитьVery helpful! It’s reassuring to hear others say you can start small and grow into it.
ОтветитьThis video is really helpful!!! Thank you!!!
ОтветитьLovit! Thanks! ☕️🎷
ОтветитьThanks so much for sharing this ❤
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks! I use my apple smartphone for photo taking… 1. What app do you use to sync your 35mm to your iPad? I’m assuming the phone can also be synced? & 2. I need to organize my photos on my phone & iPad…any suggestions? Maybe folder names?
ОтветитьWhen you post on social media…do you use the same video/photos/content on each platform (insta,Fb, etc)? Or do you have different stories/content? @DYPottery
ОтветитьReally great tips, thank you so much! I'm very curious what App on your tablet do you use to take photos? 🙏🏼
ОтветитьHallo liebe Mia!
ОтветитьThank you for such a great work and sharing so much details 🫶🏽
ОтветитьThank you lot for sharing your process 🙏 it’s helpful and I feel less alone trying to figure out the process 😅
ОтветитьLove ittt❤
ОтветитьI am a ceramicist from Taiwan. Thank you very much for sharing this video, it is very inspiring and informative. Looking forward to more of your video!
ОтветитьThanks for the great nuggets of advice! I am definitely finding Etsy a challenge to sell on - I had great sales before, but they have dropped off and its frustrating, so it's good to hear how you are using other options!
Ответитьmuy generoso de tu parte todo esto que has compartido. Muchas gracias!
ОтветитьThank you so much! Super useful and encouraging! 😊❤
ОтветитьI am just starting out.... I think I finally have enough pieces to start selling. But I am SO nervous. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experience. I found this video truly helpful. Deep breath, now......
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. I am choosing a name for my pottery business. I love your name, and all the content you share up here. Super appreciate all your friendly guidance and encouragement.
ОтветитьI am a retired ceramic art teacher and at 76 I think all that is involved is a bit more than I want to try
So I guess I’ll just be making what ever I want just for me
Thank you so much for your generous advice. It gives me hope.
ОтветитьHi Mia,
Great video!
I'd love to sell my pottery but the German system is so complicated. Can you please make a video about all the paperwork and stuff you have to do before you can sell pottery in Germany? That'd be so helpful! Thank you!
Thank you for all the advice. I love your content and your work, especially those really creative pieces you do inspired by the pottery showdown!
ОтветитьWow. So glad I found your channel! I'm just setting out on making my pottery business and feeling so supported by your content and encouragement 💞
ОтветитьYou have a bit of an accent. What kind of accent is it?
ОтветитьWhy launch as collections?
ОтветитьYou are so helpful, thank you. I had to put a pause on my fb business page because I just cannot manage to post/update outside my IG and website time, I do agree to stay active on 1 platform and become an expert of it first. Making products, planning and marketing I'm doing okay, but managing inventory was a struggle, I love your pencil numbering system, will definitely use it for my next launch!
ОтветитьA cheaper alternative to light boxes is white polystyrene panels. You will have to play with proximity to your piece but it's amazing how much you can manipulate light
