The universe is constantly expanding.
The correct answer will change in the amount of time it takes for you to do the math. This video is outdated

If you were able to teleport 100 billion light years away in any direction right now instantly, where the hell would you be because as far as we know that is farther than the known universe. I love thinking about things like that 🤯

Actually it would be instant. Traveling at the speed of light, time stops. It would take 0 time at that speed.

But the universe unlikely is that big and it's not the edge of it. And even if it was if you were to try getting there as it expanded you'd never reach it because it would had expanded away faster then you'd get there at speed of light / causality.

(big bang happened 14 billion yeara ago) (oldest star found is 16 billion years old)
(Universe is 95 billion light years long) (it takes 90 billion light years to travel at edge of universe)
What is true what is false I don't even know
Big bang doesn't even exist
I have my own theory no one will ever accept
"Living things never die thier form changes into other living things"
Yeah my grammer is bad what can I do?
I don't even care because English is not my native language

when you travel at the speed of light time get's so dilated that you travel without time passing in your own frame of reference. look at minkovsky diagrams.

Someone explained that no one can reach the edge of the Universe simply because of the expansion schemes that are at tremendous speed... and the only way to explore the Galaxy is to travel into the center of the Galaxy for the same reason, the expansion speed therein...

@Hubris423
@Hubris423 - 24.03.2023 09:24

So in listening to this, I think about how not only do we not know how to travel at the speed of light, now you need a computer to calculate and predict where everything in space is going on the way to end destination, and if you don't do that you could end up crashing into a star, a planet, or even an asteroid, we'll need space radar that can see faster than light!

Ответить
@BabyIsley
@BabyIsley - 24.03.2023 16:03

You can't go at the edge of the observable universe because it's continuously expanding at the speed of light smh. If you travel at speed of light to get to the edge, the edge is moving away from you as well.

And every single measure is wrong. It would take you exactly 0.000000000 seconds to do so, for all examples given. When you move at the speed of light there is no time anymore, it´s only for someone remaining at Earth that it would take you these times.

@norrinradd2364
@norrinradd2364 - 27.05.2023 03:40

This is not correct! If you travels with light speed, you reaches the edge of the galaxy almost in seconds because of the time dilation. A clock moving relative to an observer goes slower than a series of synchronized clocks in the "observer system" from the observer's point of view. Simplified: moving clocks go slower. This means that it takes billions of years just for the remaining observer on Earth, while it takes only a moment as a traveler at the speed of light.

43 minutes to Jupiter but 1.87 years to the edge of the solar system? I realise the solar system's edge is loosely defined but surely not that far away compared to Jupiter? That's nearly half way to Proxima Centauri.

Ответить
@asicdathens

You haven't taken into account the time dilation. For an outside observer it is 4.2 years to Proxima but for the passengers is 7 months
