Drivel. External circumstances beyond your control, luck, hereditary connections, etc. are all far more impactful in determining outcomes than even your full life commitment to following what you're good at. No matter how hard you work or how badly you want it. There are billions of unique people in the world. Millions upon millions in every generation who have some skill or talent that sets them apart. Almost no one makes it doing that thing because they were born poor, or have no support system, or have family obligations, or any number of other circumstances. It's all fine and good for Marcus Aurelius to say these things. He was an Emperor. The rest of us live in the real world.

I want to be virtuous so am doing what I can in the present. Being virtous is so 😊 good. I don't know if family would help me,I am giving it my best. I am not sure who I am doing it it for!

Helping others always brings joy to me, but really most of the time i feel like i'm useless😂 like for example i have experienced something, and someone need my assistance because i supposed to already know that. But i'm a bad explainer so yeah, i don't really know what's my purpose in life lol

Life is too big of a burden and responsibility. It's not just about enjoying it, it's always about doing the work required to "enjoy" it. Also, everything revolves around money, so all this "do what you love" non-sense is actually "do what you love, but only if you make enough money to survive". Everything seems so wonderful in theory.

I'm just so tired all the time. When I think about putting in work to make myself better I feel like breaking down, crying and shooting myself. I'm just so tired

Your purpose is to love youth neighbour, simple as that. You were put on this Earth to love others, help others, heal others, empower others.

None of these are really true. Your purpose isn’t to make the most of the present, that’s something you made up to be the purpose. Same with adding value.

Also you’re ability to do any of this is limited by circumstances, money, status, etc.

But none of these points are true. People have to stop looking to last thinkers as they aren’t always accurate. The dude was an emperor, pretty sure that skews your view of life.

But yeah he’s wrong about all these things.
