Finally, the eyes of Shri Jagannath are iconic. Whereas the Vigraha in the temple has normal eyes and those red rings seem to be a later addition ... a futile attempt to claim similarity with the iconic eyes of Shri Jagannath ?

Also, the posture of the hands of the Vigraha in this temple is unclear from the video but it is very unlikely that a stone vigraha of this style would have the hands spread-out in such a lopsided fashion ! Or is it just the hands of the dress of the Vigraha, artificially stretched out in that fashion in a desperate attempt to claim similarity with the outstretched hands of Shri Jagannath ?

One should think hard before falling for such false propaganda !

Jagannath satyayugse hai .Present Temple in Odsha was built in the 13th centuri .Before this, somany temples of various size were constructed and damaged .Hence the present temple is not the Original temple . Yugas are continuous . For calculations pl go through srimad bhagabat mahapuran . Presenent Jagannath Bigraha is the representation of the form less ,'BRAHMAN' i.e.sachidananda .Pl don't mis interpret the shastras . The structure shown may be one of the structures where this vigraha was worshiped as jagannath . But the Original Jagannath Dham is at Puri, Odisha .There is no dispute in it .

The current Puri Jagannath temple is the 7th temple built in the 9th century. Earlier 6 temple were built and got destroyed because of different reasons.

It should be noted that the present mandir of Puri dates back to only about 900 years during the time of the ganga dynasty...priorly, soma vamsis have it built in about 600-700 BC at the time Adi Shankara Acharya...How could he not find which is the older and the actual jagannath temple??...before it there was also some structures...puranas describe it to be during Satya Yug or before. A legend goes about Raja Indradyumna and Rani Gundicha... Not just merely 4200 years..Hence drop the question of any present jagannath idol older than that of puri (which is made up of neem wood). That is the oldest one...I respect the words of the shukla ji of its prominence during the reign of different dynasties...but Jagannath Puri is the self chosen abode of lord Maha Vishnu near Mahodadhi....and for kind information of all that Odisha is the only place in the world where all 5 greatest supreme beings have their highest significance such as Jagannath Dham Puri for maha Vishnu...Linga Raj mandir, only linga in the world where both shiv and Vishnu are represented in one linga; Jajpur, maa Viraja Shakti peet(gada kshetra), being worshipped as the rarest double armed Durga idol,a.k.a. Naavi Gaya, 2nd holiest place after Gaya for pitru homage, at the same place and along the holy Baitarani river bank with 108 Krosha shiv lings suming a total (though historically) one less than one crore lings in these plains,,,not other place on earth holds such brilliant significance of Shiva Shakti worship along with famous Mahavinayak Ganesh Mandir..then come to world famous Konark Surya temple built during 13th century AD. The temple you just showed were later built-ups lucky to have survived the jaban attacks unlike jagannath Puri which have suffered 25 invasions and stills holds high...the peerless one and the supreme one...proud to be an Odia...Jai Jagannath. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🕉️

Buddhist chaitya/temples in India have a Dome/Gambuj. The Dome shaped architecture of the Jagannath temple at Kanpur is a typical Buddhist Architecture. The Vigraha at Kanpur and the Vigraha at Puri, are totally different from each other.

There is no templ older than 1500 yrs..before that all were buddhist stupas only..almost all ancient temple were buddhist or jainism...

Lord Jagannath ji in Puri is from Satya yug and Jagannath is called as bramha..Bramha means which does not have (Aadi) and Anth(end)..there are many temples where only Lord Jagannath is worshiped without Balabhadra and Maa Subhdra
