Why I love Lyra so much?

so 25 steps is saved per cycle on special days and thus a magikarp (which would use 6 cycles worth of steps) without other bonuses would save you 150 steps of walking. the savings on a 10 cycle egg (11 in practice) would be 275 steps. since 275 contains 255, that's one egg cycle the player manages to avoid, thus the end result is 10 egg cycles plus 20 steps. the formula for step savings would be 25*(x+1), x being cycle number, obviously.

I do not think it is that hidden, most of the dates line up with holidays or game related celebrations. So I think the idea is these dates were coded to celebrate them. I would speculate the unknown dates like June 11th and August 21st might be like dev birthdays or anniversaries.

Im currently trying to shiny hunt a beldum in hgss and im not able to get any combination of ditto and beldum that like each other very much, so theres quite a lot of time where i just dont have a full party of eggs and its much slower as a result. Would you happen to know anyway that i can influence this better? Ideally id want it to be adamant so i use an everstone, but i dont care about breeding for ivs

I believe you can bypass the time manipulation restrictions by turning off your ds, remove the card, turn the ds back on, set date and time, turn ds off, insert card back into your ds, then finally turing it back on. Another option is to use a second ds.

I get eggs and then check them with PKhex if their is shiny 🤣I'm not wasting my time hatching one by one🥱

Eggs hatch one step after the other. I only know this bc I breed spammed in SS

As a kid and well into adulthood, I had no clue about the additional egg cycle per hatch! I just thought it took a long time, haha. (Does it also function this way in earlier gens?) These are very informative videoes, glad I found this channel
