So what happened to the happy little nettle growing on the front bumper in the previous episode?
ОтветитьIt'd be good if they all had the access plate in the floor like vag cars have had to get to the fuel pump/sender unit, maybe still do but I'm still living in the past so don't actually know
Ответить30 minutes of excellent instruction. Thank you, Edd.
ОтветитьThose panels for the convertible Beetle look to be the cheapest ones and unfortunately you get what you pay for.
Klokkerholm panels are thin and rarely, if ever, fit without rework, modification, cutting, and welding to make fit.
Honestly an all-too-frequent state of affairs in the classic VW aftermarket parts suppliers.
I have to say that the description of this new show being like "all the best of Wheeler Dealers without any of the fluff or nonsense," is very accurate.
But, I described this to my friend last night as, being like a video substitute for getting together with a good friend (way wiser than myself) and just sipping a coffee or a hot cocoa and just being like a knowledge sponge - happily absorbing new bits of information and those improvements to my existing base of knowledge while enjoying the experience with someone you look up to.
I am just in awe of Edd China because so many mechanics are insufferable, arrogant mules that have to be right even when they are wrong and usually have a chauvinistic, loud mouth personality. Edd China is like the Nikola Tesla of the workshop. Just humble, honest, passionate about what he does, and never talks down to anyone.
Love your relaxed presentation style. No stupid dancing around, no muppetry, just nice and relaxing to watch and enjoy. More please.
ОтветитьThat looks like a small tank.
ОтветитьA Mercedes ice cream van.... Here in the states, we are feeling lucky if the local van isnt a 1984 GMC with a 454 that wont make you pass from the exhaust by the time you get your ice cream lol
ОтветитьIf you look really closely, you will notice the xcp penetrative fluid... 😀♥️
ОтветитьGreat to see, lots and lots of adverts !!
ОтветитьMore lofi
ОтветитьMay I say something obscene? Starting this "thing" is like humping a corpse. It has green moss on it, so some life left...
ОтветитьI would have had the tank cleaned and then painted it, along with a anti-corrosion lining by POR-15 in the tank itself. so much work to remove it.
ОтветитьEdd, I don't suppose you want to swap your CTEK battery charger for my £35 charger which is guaranteed to collapse a cell every time you use it?
ОтветитьLong time no see Edd! Cheers from Sweden! 🍻
ОтветитьThis is like Wheeler Dealers with all the boring bits removed.
Ответитьcan I replace the servo on my Honda Jazz with another from a similar car IE a ford Fiesta/Fusion as the Honda breaks are So sensitive n over servo even a 2 MPH stop it can become an emergency stop like hitting a brick wall my age now i will get someone to do the work for me just wanted to know if it be ok? thanks
ОтветитьHave you ever tried using EDM for removing broken bolts or studs? Unlike drilling, it cannot walk around, you just push an electrode down the center of the broken fastener. Have used in the past. Get an electrode just smaller than the minor diameter and then run a tap through to clean out the threads...
ОтветитьThis is what Wheeler Dealers always should have been. Also, I know that James May would approve of the 'correct' use of a hammer!
ОтветитьHere here
ОтветитьI think James May and Edd China are relatives
ОтветитьI see you have the same model Milwaukie drill that I have, it has been my favorite drill so far
ОтветитьThis is real-world mechanics. Filthy undersides, frustrations, frozen nuts & bolts and all.
So glad to see you back Edd, really enjoying the show!
Edd, you have lots of patience. I take my hat off to you.
ОтветитьSomething about Edd reminds Me of Sammy Hagar and James May. Would like to see a crossover video with all 3. James could make a sandwich for the tea break. Cut in rectangles, not triangles of course.
ОтветитьHi Edd
I know Wheeler Dealers is now a long way down the road for you now.
But do you have any thoughts on your replacement Ant Anstead you'd like to share?
Also like to say it great to have you back, keep the good shows coming.
Ian Walker - Stourbridge.
couldn't you have reached the fuel pump from inside the trunk floor?
ОтветитьDid your giant shopping trolley feature in Jackass ?
ОтветитьOh dear, I'm a little worried about your safety standards when working with fuel :D
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьNice to hear to correct English pronunciation of "leverage". So many English people now say it as if they were American.
ОтветитьWhere do i get his protective gear 😱😍 i need those glasses with integrated hearing protection
ОтветитьEdd - I'm amazed by your knowledge - I understand about 5% of what you say but find it compulsive viewing despite my ignorance - welcome back!
ОтветитьThanks Edd. I've been tinkering in the shop for decades and I'd never heard of a re-threading kit or that trick with the standard nut (with a slot). I'm going to use that next time!
ОтветитьHad to change a range rover fuel pump as a roadside repair in Morocco. Fortunately it was an earlier version so the fuel pump was on the chassis rail (NS?) A lot easier than this
Ответитьawesome episode great to see the fault finding :)
ОтветитьNaughty Naughty. Impact goggles with a grinder not safety glasses or the HSE will be knocking. Awesome show, missed you bud.
ОтветитьLove your channel, but sick of all the blacks in the adds 😡😡
ОтветитьGreetings from Chile 🇨🇱 Edd
ОтветитьDanke!
ОтветитьYou should make another weather balloon for America
ОтветитьThanks again Edd, from an American Ed, always interesting and fun! As I tinker with cars myself, this is all so interesting! Always exciting to see the show and learn new things!
Ответитьto wielka przyjemność oglądać Pana program, dziękuję
Ответить2 gallons in a dry tank isn't enough
ОтветитьThis guy is a legend love the way he explains things to the point and no bullshit very lucky these days to have such an experienced person sharing all that knowledge which Edd has put in thousands of hours over to know and practice all the best.
It would be so cool if you could set up training courses in New Zealand
Loving this this series!
I only just discovered it and feel like I've been missing out all these years!
Had I known that the only reason I watched Wheeler Dealers had left and made a series of his own with all the worst bits trimmed off I would of been here from day 0.
My only complaint is I'm trying to binge through your Workshop Diaries playlist but they are all in reverse order.
Needless to say it's devastating to see Edd China take these lovely repaired cars and slowly destroy them.
