Is the 2021 Audi S5 Sportback a performance sport sedan WORTH the price?

Just test drove one of these today. Amazing vehicle but not worth the ticket price in my opinion. Interior is beautiful though.

Torn between this or a Porsche Macan S - totally different but love them both

Daaaaang! I love the S5 too! I had a 2019 RS5 for a while.

I love everything about the car except the way it drives. The transmission never knows what it wants to do, it’s either all out or jumping around too much. And the car has too much body roll for how tight it feels. I hope the rs3 feels better. For 80k with the top package option I could get a lightly used Lexus LC500… yeah not much competition

This summer after getting to my rental agency and finding that my reserved Mustang convertible was nowhere to be found. The consolation for their goof was a Dodge Challenger R/T or Audi A5 Sportback. The Dodge was out because it attracts unwanted attention that I might be willing to entertain but not with the wife so... NO. I admit I am skeptical of Audi's with their 2.0T that can be found in VW GTI's, Toureg's, Atlas's and just about anything else in the VW group except Porsche. I relented and decided to give the A5 Sportback a try. The design of the low slung 4 door coupe was better than the Mustang convertible, performance was decent and delivered on the lux performance coupe theme. Power was adequate for my left foot without the wife complaining. The S5 Sportback V6 Turbo has a lot more power but nothing to crazy that an experienced driver can't handle as long as he doesn't get stupid this is the model to buy. The only thing that brings me pause with an Audi is reliability. Electronic glitches, expensive repairs, failing transmissions and resale value seem to be a part of the brand. However I quite liked the A5 as a lux Sport coupe with 4 doors and you can haul quite a bit in the back. We took some beach chairs, umbrella, picnic basket in the trunk and it swallowed everything without letting the backseats down which kept everything nice and hidden. I don't think I will ever own one at this time only because I distrust Audi to be as reliable but I admit Audi has my attention. If they ever resolve their Transmission and electronic gremlims I just might go for and S5 Sportback.

I sold my 2021 Accord SE 7 months ago.This S5 in Optic Black is my next car.I am looking to buy one as a"Certified Pre-Owned"by the end of 2024.I am waiting for the prices to drop a little bit more.I already have 40k designated for it.They go for $45k-$50k with low miles now.Can't wait.What a beautiful car,especially,the one in black.Great Review👍👍✌

Test drove an S5 yesterday. Only had room for one package of M&Ms in the center console but that’s enough for me. I was driving so fast I needed both hands on the wheel anyway. Love this car!
