I take my shoes off and put on slippers on long haul flights
ОтветитьI'm planning my first international trip and I've been a bit stressed over the idea of having to carry all of my prescription bottles with me - I had no idea whatsoever that it was possible to have my doctor arrange blister packs for me! I am so glad I found your channel Laurie, all of the videos I've been watching and nobody has mentioned this!
ОтветитьHello, can you tell me what medical lip balm you mentioned in one of your videos please
ОтветитьAfter running through Europe for 10 days, I fell asleep sprawled across my tray on the return flight to the US. Oh boy. My neck and back went into some kind of seizure so painful I could barely walk. That neck pillow would have been a saver!
ОтветитьLove your videos. You said you don’t take your travel blanket, I found and love the Gravel travel blanket. It is very lightweight and packs into a bag about the size of a softball. What I love is that it has a zippered pocket that is next to your body while sleeping. It for being light it keeps you very warm. It also can fold into its pocket to make a pillow.
ОтветитьDo you have compression socks that are great but have open toe sock?
ОтветитьI cannot thank you enough for the tip on CBP Mobile passport. We were the only ones in line from our return trip from Rome and we cut off a long line of people. This was wonderful after being on a plane for over 10 hrs. Thank You again!
ОтветитьThank you so much for your tips!!!!!
ОтветитьDo you recommend a foot rest for very long flight? If so which one? Thanks Debbie
ОтветитьThe Airline are really sticking it to the pooch (consumers)from paying for choice airline seats, baggage check fees and the dreaded TSA PreCheck fee. It's no wonder everyone walks around with a chip on their shoulders just ready to explode because of the money grubbing system.
ОтветитьI got the neck pillow with support for both sides but will use it for the first time going to China. I always have neck pain when Infall asleep in the plane because my head keeps hanging to the sides. I also do the ABC with foot. I just got a swing to elevate my feet because my feet swells and this will help plus the medical compression stocking that goes up to the thighs. Thank you Laurie for all the great tips.
ОтветитьThanks for the great advice!
ОтветитьDoes anyone know what size carry-on fits European overhead compartments? I understand they are smaller than US planes.
ОтветитьDo you have a suggestion for what to take if you want to sleep on a plane? It’s a 6 hour red eye flight. Dramamine?
Ответить“Flat piece of foil” for your pills??
No idea what this means?
Hi do u use travel insurance
ОтветитьFor my hair I use a silk lined bonnet. It’s not like the big crazy ones lol It fits snug.
ОтветитьDoes anyone know if it cost extra (meaning more than your usual prescription cost ) from the Pharmacy to get these flat foil packs made for your pills/medication?
ОтветитьYeah I have trouble falling asleep on planes. It's so hard to get comfortable
ОтветитьWhat are my options if my departing flight is late taking off causing me to miss my connecting flight? I'm afraid we could miss our cruise because of this. Thank you for any advice you can give!
Ответитьgreat video! really informative and helpful tips for those long flights. i do wonder, though, if we might not be overly reliant on technology in 2025? sometimes a good old-fashioned book or just enjoying the scenery can be just as rejuvenating. what do you think?
ОтветитьI am in Venice today and tomorrow we fly back to Toronto, Canada. We fly to Heathrow the on to Toronto…I have a new long flight day hack….use a thin light days pad and bring a few. Changing this makes you feel fresh when you cannot change your underwear…..what a difference. I wish I had done this for earlier flights. Hope this tip helps a few ladies out there.
ОтветитьGreat tips as always. I live in Australia so everything is long haul!! I recently travelled for 4 months around Europe. I ditched my toiletries bag as it took up too much room- I used zip lock bags. In fact if I had one tip I would say take zip lock bags. I have been travelling on aircraft for over 50 years and I cannot wear a neck pillow for the life of me. I also had air tags which were the best as I got lost and did not know where my hotel was so I just used find my tracker and got directions back to my hotel to my luggage! I also take electrolytes always and if I run out I just put a bit of salt in my water.
ОтветитьHi Laurie, once again I am so impressed with your videos. I bought the raincoat you suggested and love it. Perfect...you are the best.
ОтветитьThanks for always sharing such helpful tips! Wondering if you or anyone you know has tried the flyhugz travel pillow. I can’t tell if it is a scam or not or it it would fit a petite person with a small neck. Would appreciate any insight you have on this.

ОтветитьHi Laurie love watching your videos would love more info on your travel vest and best way to pack it also going on an African Safari next winter, any information you would have would be helpful
ОтветитьIt is not enough to do an exercise.
ОтветитьThe best thing for avoiding circulation issues is wearing compression socks!
ОтветитьI’m a British passport holder with Global Entry and it really is the best thing ever for regular travellers
ОтветитьThe MPC app is not just for Americans - any esta holders who have been before on an esta can use them too
Ответитьim a senior and will travel alone international for almost 20 hrs with connecting flights...no idea whatsoevet, just ask for wheelchair assistance..
ОтветитьLaurie, your tips are practical and I enjoy looking at the products you mention. Providing links makes doing that quite easy. However, I REALLY wanted to look at the vest you briefly showed but couldn't find a link.
Was one there and I missed it? (That's a definite possibility!)
If you could post it again, I'd be overjoyed.😉
Also, I'm 75 now and am finding it more and more difficult to remember where I put specific items, especially in my backpack. Do you have suggestions for how to keep track of which things are where? This is particularly important on an overseas flight.
Thanks for continuing to provide used tips!
If peanut butter is already spread on crackers, is it still considered a liquid?
ОтветитьThanks Laurie, love all your videos, they have been very helpful 😊
ОтветитьCarry the meds with the original prescription with the name of the doctor, type and dosage of the medication, in the original pharmacy bottle.
ОтветитьAdvice from Captain John, a friend’s son-in-law who is a pilot with a large international airline: Do NOT wear synthetic fabrics. Yes, leggings or “travel pants” can be comfortable, BUT In the extreme emergency of a fire, synthetics will melt onto your skin. Natural fabrics will more likely smoulder, or can be quickly extinguished with minimal burns to your skin. Cotton, linen , bamboo, wool, and cashmere are best.
ОтветитьI’ve always enjoyed all your tips. You are so right about the scooped next shirt thanks for the reminder!
ОтветитьAs a senior, maneuvering your carry on and personal bag on/off the plane can be difficult. I offer to have my carry on bag checked at the departure desk, so then it is free. 😊And pack emergency shirt and underwear etc in personal bag. A lot more stress free!
ОтветитьWhat do you suggest when we have to have a cooler with gel packs to keep lots of epipen type shots very cold? Do we need to keep them in original box, which takes up more space? Also, We are traveling to Alaska for 2 1/2 months so we have lots of meds as I take 18 a day.
ОтветитьAlso check out the bear skin fleece, woe the pockets are amazing I can fit the contents of my whole purse in various pockets that are all zippered
ОтветитьNot able to find this vest anywhere went on to order Scottie vest
ОтветитьA "mammogram type seat" 😂 this is how I'm referring to coach/economy from now on!!
ОтветитьGoing to the Netherlands in July, I will have a Ziploc baggie of all my prescriptions in their original bottles in the carry on plane bag for under the seat, but can i put a individual small bag of those prescription pills I'll need for when we land to take in the morning, or is it best just to take a pill out of each bottle upon landing in morning.?
