Putting Ukraine nr 4? Are you kidding? The vocals and the entry is atrocious.

A small concern for Ukraine is that they did a poll for the live audience after the rehearsal and Ukraine is ranked 12th out of the 15 contestants....i dont know if there is any audio difference between the live arena and tv but its quite surprising tbh

Azerbaijan is quite a let down staging wise...i thought that they would go for a more techno/cyberpunk staging based on their music video.I understand why they go for a red staging since Azerbaijan is the land of fire after all. I just think the red staging kinda get lost in the mix of more intricate red stagings (Belgium and Albania comes to mind).The vocals are ok but i do wish they have more backing vocalists to support the main vocals since it can sound kinda too low at times.

Estonia is on a shaky ground for me....they released the clips on the eurovision app and you can definitely hear the wobbly vocals in Tommy's voice. I still think he is going to go through quite easily since his song is probably the most viral song among alll the eurovision participants of this year. I think he is a great perfomer so he could probably masked some of his vocal flaws with decent choreography

At this point, I think even 6th for Belgium is quite low, but I might be living in my own bubble here 😄

Estonia is winning!

I have the same 10 as you Matt but I have never got more than 9 out of 10. I think Iceland is probably the floater. If Belgium and Poland do not make it I won't be that shocked 😮

Yesterday during rehearsal ppl from arena were texting me how good his performance was. Biggest surprise of the season!!! Press poll AND audience poll after rehearsal had him in top 10 as a qualifier. You will see Slovenia in final

Don’t prepare yourself. SM will qualify. Hardcore fans are overreacting on the staging. But, it’s such a feeelgood song.

It's interesting how different some channels rank the entries. The same song, some see it almost winning while the same song is "absolutely not qualifying" in some other channels. So there you go, apart from some obvious winners a pretty large number of the songs I would not bet on in the real world. Thrilling.

I completely agree with you Matt, I would just make one change: I think San Marino will make it (italian votes will help too), not sure about Cyprus though. And yes my country probably will be last of the last unfortunately, may we be wrong (not a song for Eurovision).

From people that were at Arena yesterday I heard that Slovenia is absolutely amazing and very touching. Albania genius and Poland great (that's what they wrote). On contrary they said that Ukrainian show was very weak. It's interesting to see how it ends up tonight!

It’s that time once again!

My qualifiers - Iceland, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, Sweden, Portugal, Norway, San Marino, Albania and Netherlands. (Edit: How did I get 10/10?! I’m so happy but also so surprised!)

My prediction - Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, Ukraine, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Albania, Netherlands and Cyprus.

I think this is the easier semi final to predict this year. I agree that the main fight here is between Iceland, Slovenia and San Marino for 10th. I went with Slovenia qualifying because they have the advantage of being the only ballad, and one of the only real emotional moments of the semi final. Meanwhile, Iceland and San Marino are already competing against a lot of other upbeat numbers. I think some of them have to be left behind.

I’m not too worried about the rest of my prediction, they’re all looking pretty good for qualification. The ones I am really interested to see tonight are Belgium and Albania, just because the feedback has been so overwhelmingly positive for their stagings. Cyprus is up there too, because the concept is super interesting.

All right. Here js my prediction about Poland.
-It's 69th edition of the contest and the new pope leo is 69 years old. The name of the new pope is leo like Justyna son.
-When there was conclave 2013 Kamil Stoch won ski jumping championships for Poland. Now there was conclave during eurovision season.
-Justyna is the daughter of the former polish priest so she definitely has some help from the heaven
-When pope benedict died my esc 2023 winner was sweden and she later wenr on to win esc. Last month pope francis died and my winner is Poland.
-Justyna 1st rehearsal was on the polish constitution day and her 2nd rehearsal was on the 1st day of the conclave
