This should be from an amalgamate wich was that little thing from the waterfall, ik it is officially said to be from madjick, but since it wasn't used because of the core stuff, it should be an amalgam alphys got.

I love the mysterious vibe this gives off. I found out about this song from the wiki of all places along with a better song for alphys' lab(not true lab)

i swear i've heard it somewhere before, but i don't remember it in the soundtrack or any videos i've watched about undertale

I feel like I'm just floating in the void while listening to this stuff. Like it's the end of my journey and there's nothing to continue with. I'm not sad, scared or anything. I just exist in that void and it's... Peaceful.

Every time I listen to this, I get a weird vibe.. like it gives you a sense that so many terrifying things are happing.. like genocide.. Corpses on streets wherever you go.. and mostly.. war.. It feels like you need to survive it.. but many people you care about are dying or dead by this point.. you are the only one that survived the genocide & your all alone.. it’s think it’s just me for the most part..

I don't know if I'm just overly emotional right now, but this song feels like a comforting hug for someone who is sobbing. The person sobbing feels broken inside, like there's no hope, which is the undertones, and the person hugging them knows this, but they know the other person can get through this tough time, so until then, they're holding this person together, which is the main melody.

Waterfall

People have associated it with Chara. For example, a lyricifiication of this has Chara as the star with it (heh heh heh..) and the Bits and Pieces mod has it play during the genocide run.

To me, this song is about the fallen children, all of them, each one naive and vulnerable put into a position where they get to dramatically change the underground and be changed by it.
In a way though it's also all of us. Dropped into this world without a clear guide we make so many choices without realizing the full ramifications of our actions. The consequences of our lives are something we can't predict. It's beautiful and disturbing kind of like this track.

This sounds like a beta true lab theme

You know with this originally suppose to be Madjick's theme it's makes me wonder if he was suppose to have a bigger role in the story as an antagonist of some kind or even the big bad before flowey was thought about. It does sound like it would in a scene with him explaining his origin or motives to Frisk. Just some dumb fanfic ideas lol but it would've been interesting if he did have a bigger role in a early version of the game's story. Still love this theme.

There is something I guessed from the dialogue of the NPC asking about the star in Waterfall. The line asks if it is possible to kill a star, and then asks if you are a star. I think this means asking whether one can kill the human.

as a kid, i remember digging through the files of undertale and finding this song and just finding it to be so eerie. to this day i wonder if it's just unused or if it was made with the purpose of messing with players. i still find it kind of eerie to be honest lol

Sometimes as it gets dark, I lay on the trampoline in my backyard and stare at the sky. I could write about watching clouds, but what always gets me is the way the stars slowly appear, even in the smog covered sky of suburbia. This song has recently been drawing me out to do my nighttime sky watching in an almost ritualistic way. Your home, just across from mine, sits so close that I can see it. I can and have walked there just to see it. Just like the moon and the stars between all the tree branches and clouds, your house can only barely be made out in a small window of leaves.

I've gotten over my rebellious religious phase, and I've realized that maybe my father is right. The material is what exists, all just chemical reactions that our primitive minds apply meaning to. I love it honestly, I wouldn't want to be any other way. My conditions are so amazing that I can safely enjoy this strange flavour of longing.

Deep down though, I miss you. I think about you more than anyone else, I'll probably never get over the life I never lived closer with you. You were the best friend I've ever had, and I'll keep waxing poetic about you and how much I miss you until I see you again, hopefully soon.

this would have been used if the core wasnt buggy
basically, if you were living long enough against madjick's chaser orb, it would heal you eventually and the music would play, but because core already has background music and battle music, it was super buggy so it got scrapped

Despite this being a removed track, this is what people usually refer to as Chara's theme, in MOTI's lyrical adaptation of the song, it reflects Chara and what befell Chara so perfectly

I swear toby has to be lying when he says this is an "unused madjick song" it's way too lore soundy and creepy to be that. (Especially considering Chara means Star)
