Synchrony Bank is the bank behind many store cards. They sent out this paper statement fee notice for Lowes cards just a few days ago.
"We will charge this fee in any billing cycle in which your balance is greater than $2.50 and you are sent a monthly billing statement in paper form,"

In the case of Lowes, you get a 5% discount when you use their card. Just pay it off a few days after you make the purchase. You'll have no balance and also don't care what the interest rate is. Which happens to be 32% or 37%. You have to be really dumb to carry a balance at that interest rate. Your local loan shark is probably better.

It's not the Zoning laws that make CA home building exorbitant. It's the energy, landscaping, environmental, and other CA laws passed by State legislators that drive up housing costs.

Let me tell you my story: I was in a training program. We almost got to lunch time and the trainer noticed this girl was missing. No one knew anything about her whereabouts. The company enacted her emergency contact list (she was straight out of college and never ever held a job) they called her parents, grandparents. Right after lunch she walked into the training class. Everyone was like...she said she woke up late so she decided to go shopping and come in at lunch. She didn't see what the big deal was😂😂😂.

AAA has a pretty good truck rental discount that will more than pay for your annual membership.

Here is a question that I have never seen answered. For example; Kroger offers a lot of their "brand' of products, such as otc medicines, snacks etc. at significant price reductions. Who manufacturers these products for Kroger? They never say on the packages.

I work in retail and know a little bit about the Frito-Lay "un-shrinkflating" items. Right now it is only "20% more" on 2 Ruffles items and 2 Tostitos items - not all flavors and definitely not the full line of Frito-Lay product.

You might be a little hard on California, Clark. Over the years, the Golden State has built more housing (15 million) than any other state. It's not even close. Example: South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming have collectively built just over 3 million housing units.

My relatives just built an ADU (converted garage) in their Southern California home backyard. Everyone is doing it so, it will help with resale. They didn’t have too many issues with inspections. They have a pool, they eventually plan to rent it out.

I am so over Companies that package cake mixes that think that taking 15% of the product out of the box and leaving the directions the same is okay and when you are done you have a two layer cake that is literally 2.5 inches high. I no longer buy at all. I need a cake now, I bake from scratch or go buy the cake.

I'm not educated at all when it comes to interviews but I must be good at it because I've gotten many jobs during my working career and actually am often told during the interview that I have the job. I have been hired prior to interview and once was hired at the receptionist desk. Now retired for one year...have no doubt, if I apply, I'll have a job. I've been a butcher, bartender, retail worker in grocery, hardware, convenience store, office worker for optomitrist, factory assembler building washing machines/dryers, automoble accessories and food/drug packaging materials and a book distribution warehouse lol I've also had a few short-term positions during my younger years.
