To Intercede is to speak on your behalf but it still doesn't mean that what you saying will be taken into account on that day. I can intercede on anyone's behalf but what I say don't mean anything to the one who has authority to give decision. You can speak for me to the principal and say I wasn't apart of whatever argument happened in the school hall but the principal might still say that I was apart of the people involved and will have some share of the punishment. The same with a mediator. He can speak on your behalf between 2 parties but the decision will still be between the 2 parties. He is only the one between that can advise or highlight things that either of the 2 parties haven't picked up. End of the day, ALLAH has final say but being apart of the ummah of Muhammad (saw) does help. Fasting, helps. Making Salah, helps. Knowing who your RABB is, helps. Everything intercedes on that day. The more you do for ALLAH, the better it is.

I like hamza on speakers corner but bro needs to show better manners on the streams. He comes across very arrogant and ill mannered here and him being a representative of Islam it makes us look really bad. I'm not saying he needs to be "nice" but he shouldn't be disrespectful when debating. If you don't want to talk to them or feel they're wasting time being disingenuous, just kick them off the stream. So Sheldon the verse it's addressed to the Cross-worshippers at that time which said that God has given birth to a son, God/Allah being no female no male and nothing is equivalent to Him said that in order that thing to be done there should be a "female" mate so that the son may get born (just like Allah impregnated Maryam to have the child and not some male), so in other words Allah is saying it's not befitting for me even if it were true (for Him to have a son) to be born through me, rather there should be a mate other than Him (authubilah), and please spare me your "god can do everything" cuz I know what I'm saying, and in an another verse He addresses other cross-worshipping groups who said that Allah has chosen a son, to which He replies that: "If Allah had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed..." So the chosen "son" could've been other than a human being, rather a mighty creation..!

no aimma is complete authority. we love them, respect them, honor them, revere them even defend them however not unto extremes by elevating them and we dont take what they say over Qlqala Allah wa qala Rasul. every man we take or reject from except Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam whom we take 100% every thing he alayhi salatu wa sallam said. there are weaknesses on Mujaheed even aimma say if Malik said something and Mujaheed contradicts it then take what Malik said over what Mujaheed said. there are usul when in comes to tafseer they all might follow different usul of fiqh to derive the meaning when it comes to unclear verses in best of their understanding and abilities. however you will never see mufasiroon differ on clear cut verses which can be interpreted in only one way. ijtihad allowed only in masail furuh and then they have to back up with evidence qala Allah or qala Rasul or both. they could make a mistake on masail usul then they were rejected for that because its ijmah. for example an Nawawi and ibn Hajar al Asqalani made mistake on Asma wa Sifaat however we excuse them and dont ascribe them to mutakalimeen because khuja is not established. they made mistakes in few Sifaat in other hand mutakalimeen made mistake on all even those 7 which they affirm they do mental gymnastics. so every things goes back to Quran and authentic Sunnah. la adri wa Allahu alam

Hamza is hilarious - in a good way. He knows what he’s doing and has his own particular style. The brothers who join him on the panel obviously know him and his sense of humour.

People in the comments relax, you don’t know what it’s like being on a panel and hearing the same old gibberish and avoidance from guests. He deals with them directly and usually says what many of us think. I appreciate brother Hamza for this.
