Don’t really understand the changes you have made. So the bubble pumps are now in the shallow area but the flow of water is unchanged?

although in the loop version the presure might be more equal, the water will still be sucked more close to the connection with the pvc pipe first. I'm building mine right now and i'll have a conventional pump sucking from the perforated pipes (not in a loop because lack of space) but i'll wrap with some geotextile a portion of the perforated pipe close to the pump so that the water will get also better sucked from far away as well (and make it more difficult for the water close to the pipe)

I used two of your enhanced bubble pumps in my pond build, and the water is still crystal clear after two months. We're in Bulgaria with -25c winters and +40c summers so it will be intersting to see how well they do over a 12 month period. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

It would be interesting to throw some food coloring into the bubble pumps to see how the water flows. Presumably it mostly flows into the swimming area and then sinks to the bottom?

Could you tell me please tell me David how you connect the land drain to the bubble pump is it a T espically if you're putting it in a loop?
I'm not a million miles from Norwich in Cambridge and have built a reasonable sized clay lined pool.

Are all those 4 (or 6) PVC bubble pumps, connected to just 1 basic (60w or 100w) small air pump?
Ir there a ratio to control an even preasure? Ej. 4-1. Have you done this experiment?
Kind regards, and as always, thank you for sharing.

how come you don't use copper ion generators to mitigate algae grow?
i've seen your videos a bunch and you always show some dark, grudgy ponds and refer to them as natural swimming pools which they are not. a natural swimming pool should have a swimming area that has clear water in it and doesn't feel slimy as all hell and all that 'is' possible with copper ion generators which have been avaliable for ages as pond algae control devices.
the bottom line is, im all about natural swimming pools but im no rush to swim in the ones you make.

Hi David, can you please do a video on the revised bubble pump coming out of the planted zone?
Im wondering if it can be a straight piece of 100mm pipe with an elbow top and bottom.
Also the minimum depth or length the bubble riser will have to be?
Is 600mm to short to get the flow going?
Thank you.
Cheers Joe

Hi David.
Question-
In the new setup of the bubble pumps being in the planted zone, is the air stone dropped from the top of the 110mm pipe? If so, how does this effect the pressure that is created from having a longer 6mm pipe?
Thanks in advance

Hello David!! Thanks for the abundance of information:)) I was wondering how it looks like when the bubbles are not going through the wall? Does the tube just end somewhat in front of the wall in an elbow piece upwards and will the airtube with airstone be there ?? You probably explain this somewhere…sorry for the perhaps unnecessary question, I just have some trouble finding it..
