The credit card argument on Dave and George’s part is missing the point. And considering they love to talk about “building wealth” - and cutting out small expenses like Starbucks and Netflix - it’s ironic.

It’s not about “beating” anyone, or a bank

It’s about using a free, legal tool; to simply receive a small discount on purchase you are already making.

George makes fun of the 2% cash back; but when you add it up over the years - it can become substantial.

Electricity bills
Hoa dues
Monthly groceries

Might only be $10-20 a month, but it’s still extra money to put towards debt, your investments, kids college, whatever

Me, personally - I put my business expenses on the credit card.

It’s paid off in full every month, and I generate a few thousand in free money every year simply by using card A instead of card B

Apparently In dave and George’s eyes, I’m an idiot

Dave also has a big building telling people. They don't need a credit score to financially. Be okay, this day, Ramsey stuff is just simply a cult. And nobody ever said they're gonna get rich from credit card. Rewards, it's just a nice perk for money you already have to spend.

Planning ahead can really minimize taxes! I've made a smart reinvestments, especially with some great guidance from a pro for a half year now, and it's been a game changer. I was able to reinvest my RMD strategically, and I'm now pulling in about $25k a week, despite doing very little trading myself. It's a nice cushion against financial stress. Best of luck with your RMD decisions!

My wife won’t do this. She went thru peace university before we met. She knows all the concepts. She’s completely in debt. I won’t list. Know way in this life time she will pay off these debts I don’t care what Dave could come up w or not. Trust me I’ve listened enough to know. I understand most ppl he can help. Small percentage he cannot. She’s one them. But I would like to do the dollar budget. Prob will never happen in my lifetime. Very sad. I’m kinda pissed about it. I am on disability and have been most my life. I tried working now I’m paying back 10k back to soc sec for 4 years 300$ every month out of my disability check. Yea. God be w us. Not that this matters much. We are Christian’s.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit.

I dont understand the student loan, if you can't pay for college go to Europe and study for free, a lot of countries doesn't have college fee, or it cost 1000$ a year so guys stop taking a student loans, and cost of living in some Europe countries cheaper than US

I am DETERMINED TO DO THIS!! We only have a few things in collections mostly medical.. (min a lot is from my kids ) and. Couple small amount credit cards (husband’s) when we get our taxes back I am paying LOADS !!! Maybe even all of it because it isn’t that much! We owe on Verizon, the electric company, and the collections on both … that’s it.. we rent our house and no vehicle payments… no student loans.. nada else.. I am excited!! Cause we are in SHAMBLES! 😪🤦‍♀️ I recently took over the bills (husband finally relented them to me after 16 years of destroying them and upsetting his family over and over again …🤦‍♀️😪 it was sooo hard!!! I tried teaching him how to do them but he wouldn’t listen.. he didn’t like going without… (he grew up never being without, I grew up not having enough (in my teen years) ) so where I was fine he was panicked 🤦‍♀️ I understand but it sucked! We were going without because of who he was handling the bills… 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ he just isn’t good with money.. he’s great at a whole host of other things just not money…. 🤷‍♀️ so I read the dave Ramsey book YEARS AND YEARS AGO! In 1 week (I had 3/4 little kids then ) now we have 8 kids… 2 are about to go to bible college couple more years left to prepare… and if there is anyway to send them mostly paid for I’m here for it!!! We are also trying to buy this house we live in (and add on and fix it (it’s a family home)) so we will ha e a mortgage soonish hopefully 🙏 we live less than pay check to paycheck… atm with food stamps because of the current economy.. we were completely fine all through covid but right after we just couldn’t keep up! Not even with my husband’s raise! I am looking to make some money from home.. (work in progress) and that will help out hopefully it takes off (we could use prayers please 🙏)🙏🙏🙏🙏☺️
My husband’s attitude in life is negative.. I don’t make enough so there’s no point…🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I don’t see it that way… I am more of a skeptical optimist … a very determined one! A very pragmatic person.. if it isn’t practical I usually don’t go for it… 🤷‍♀️ hard work ALWAYS pays off unless it’s in a dei job.. lol 😂

Question: Isn’t a credit card safer than a debit card? Also, most cards have auto-pay functionality at the end of the month. Is it only bad if I get lost in credit greed and purchase things I can’t afford?
