Yo, I've built my RC car 5th scale with the video much smoother. Kinda the same setup as yours, but with more rigidity, switches, and a separate battery for video transmission. Roughly the same time about the years ago, dbxl-e all aluminum build. I've posted a few videos on my channel.

Personally I'd mount the camera where the driver sits and mount it with springs under the screw places so it has some springiness to counter the bumpiness. But I'd like to have the real feeling as if I was driving this thing ;)

I'm looking at doing a super small set up nothing like your but it's just for my modified scx24 rock hopper buggy au it has to be micro and even with the monster motor in it now it's still just 1/24 scale so I won't be driving the neighborhood but trail driving and rock hopping fromy chair at the camp sites will be sick.
