I believe most cars have reached a parity in reliability. That's not to say they are "equal", but that most brands provide "good" cars when you buy them.
But we've got a 2014 Accord and a 2017 Explorer, and it's shocking how differently they're aging. The Ford is slowly falling apart in front of our eyes.
