watching the last 3 minutes of this video the alexa in my room was going crazy
ОтветитьI would've washed the tea strainer first before steaming tea in it^^
ОтветитьMy mother brought me an Alexa for Christmas last year I’m mute so entirely useless she loves it mainly cause I can’t shut it up worst invention ever
ОтветитьFor the team maker I think it's more of an aesthetic piece in all honesty and for 30 bucks not too bad. Personally I don't care for it but it is much more unique looking than a lot of the pots that boil water out there
ОтветитьHuh, the universal lid, I don't get why its metal. I got two sizes at home right now, one for larger pans and one for smaller pans with them both fitting the medium sizes and they're silicon or something like that. Means they bend a bit of the pot is a bit small and the lid touches a handle.
ОтветитьI think if you work in an office and need to get up shower etc it'll save time to have it set to make your tea/coffee while you're getting ready... Personally I wouldn't use it, but it's a good gadget.
ОтветитьMy Alexa was very confused by the kettle commands.
ОтветитьThe Tsquare is just a shitty, rattly, Samovar...
ОтветитьMy echo could not find a kettle, but offered up my robovac a couple times.
ОтветитьOne little flaw with that one size fits all lid: Note that the metal rim overshoots the smaller pans/pots, so it's essentially dangling directly above your heat source. Now imagine setting the lid down on anything meltable. A cutting board, even cooking utensils. Instantly melted. And there's risks of burning as well.
ОтветитьTo make the very best loose leaf tea, get a 19th or 20th century sterling silver teapot - you will never look back. Why, well, they don't cost that much - just look at a local auction, the heat conductivity is off the scale - so heating up the teapot takes seconds, and it keeps them at the right temperature for longer. They aren't going to wear out, and don't need any electronics.
ОтветитьThe butter dish is the answer to a question nobody asked. And dear God, did you just put butter on a bagel??? What unholy codswallop is this?
ОтветитьRoom temperature butter might be ok in the UK where it doesn't get much above 10C 😂 here, its frequently over 30C ambient in my house. Butter melts into a puddle in a few mins here. Sorry, butter dish / pot / tray is a wasted device.
ОтветитьMaybe European butter with its higher fat content, but I can't leave American butter at room temperature once it's unwrapped. Spoilage.
ОтветитьThat butter dish suffers from the usual problem, it’s upside down, butter needs a dish that can cope with warm weather without spewing liquid butter over the table
ОтветитьWe frequently learn new things about Jamie when he’s involved in videos 😂 we know that he’s hopeless with colours, this video showed us that he’s good with his shapes and when put in the position to make a decision, it’s guaranteed that he uses his heart over his head😂
Ответитьi'd only ever use the kettle. i'd like to see what they could do, with an assortment of bean and cheese frozen burritos, with the curve ball being, one of the burritos is beef and bean.
ОтветитьNot Jamie setting off my Alexa through my headset!! hahaha
Ответитьgad
ОтветитьI listened to what you said, to keep butter at room temperature. And this afternoon when i looked at it. It had melted and separated. And the temperature was only 41 C. And normally higher.
ОтветитьUntil I can say:
"kettle, fetch water"
These voice activated gadgets are useless.
The tea gadget I would “refuse” ; the butter gadget is worth the “spread” for me and the lid I’m confused about and not sure if it’s a useful lid… If I was sure it would fit all my pans I’d probably by it otherwise I wouldn’t. And for the kettle, I’m with Jamie, an app can’t fill your kettle… 😅
ОтветитьThere’s no way that ammount of water is going near my carbon steel wok. Do you realise how long it takes to season one properly then how much effort it takes to prevent rusting
ОтветитьI am sorry, but that is the worst butter dish i have ever seen.
The knife on top is only usefull until you use it, after taht you just dirty the lid, the lid and pan are to smal meaning you have to touch the butter to get it on or of or unnaturally move your hand up perfectly straight, which most people can not do, there is always a few milimeters variation, hence why proper butter dishes leave you with around 1cm between lid and Butterpart of the pan. And those skids are really just a gimmik you will regred having onve you have less butter on it
Never thought a stupid Butter dish could get me so riled up, but that thing is just stupid and overpriced, buy a well made procelain one for 5 pounds and have it for the rest of your life. they are also flat enough and long eough to support a butter knife even without a magnet if you really wanna store a knife on top of it
Uhg, I hate this triggering MY alexa every time Jamie says it. Please change yours to one of it's other names to be less common.
ОтветитьYou should review the Butter Bell! I’ve given them as gifts for years…💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
ОтветитьI’ve never needed my kettle boiled when I’m not at the kettle. Seems like an addition no one ever asked for.
ОтветитьThat butter dish is a butter plate, it’s the wrong way up
ОтветитьTea snob here. You can buy tea pots with a strainer in them. The only use this has is in you not forgetting to remove the strainer. More importantly than temp though is 1) steep time 2) WHAT IN THE WORLD DID THEY DO THROWING OUT THE FIRST STEEP OF THE LEAVES? Who washes off tea leaves like dirty rice? The second steep is always weaker and less flavorful than the first. That made me cringe when they had you throw out that first run.
ОтветитьWhy must everything have an app and be Wi-Fi enabled these days..?! Oh right
1) so they can stop supporting the software and make you buy the newest version of the device.
2) so they can software patch hardware failures. (Or onboard software via app)
Problem is that they are a huge security risk for your network. Some casino got hacked because of a security flaw in their FISH TANK. Yes. Their fish tank was Wi-Fi enabled and had a security flaw that allowed someone to hack into it. From the fish tank they got into the rest of their network.
Lesson learned? If it doesn’t need to be wifi enabled DON’T MAKE IT WI-FI ENABLED! 🤦🏼♀️
I feel like the kettle shouldn't turn on if there isn't any water in it. Hopefully, that's the case. If so, i would think that it would be quite handy to many ppl.
ОтветитьIf I had the money for it, and the counter space that smart kettle, I'd buy it
ОтветитьThe tea cube is very nifty, but without temperature and time controls, it's not really viable for all tea types, so people who really love tea would be unlikely to want it. If they added those features then it would be legitimately nice to have. Then again, there are also tea people like myself who, if I had enough counter space, would still like to have such a product even if I only ever used it to make black tea for a cuppa. If you're adding milk to it then the quality of the tea is of lesser importance, so you can buy a ludicrous amount of loose leaf black tea for a reasonable price because you can get away with second and third flush teas with larger leaves. For white, green, and oolong, I'd prefer to just do it myself so I can control the time and temp.
ОтветитьI used to have an Alexa on every floor of my house. My house is tall and thin, not a mansion. Then suddenly Alex started talking to me. She was asking me if I wanted to order paper towels. I don’t use paper towels I use dish cloths. I got so irritated that one by one. I unplugged them all, and I never plugged them in again.
ОтветитьJust use your biggest pot pan lid and use it on everything..lol
Ответить3 years later and I still need to find a universal lid for my kitchen. Also adding that butter dish to the shopping list. 🫣
ОтветитьHonestly if the temps are accurate on that kettle that's not bad. Plenty of coffee/tea nerds love being able to directly control the temp, record the weight of water. A high quality coffee scale that does all of that but doesn't come with a kettle or the ability to heat water can be the same or higher in price
ОтветитьIf the kettle was hooked up to fill itself, yes. otherwise I don't need a ''smart'' kettle that have an app. just put a temp dial on the kettle base itself not in an app
ОтветитьI've got a pot lid like that, but it has a silicone flange around the central glass instead of rigid steel, so it adapts to handles, etc, and 'sucks down' to form a good seal over boiling liquids. Also dishwasher proof. AU$15, so cheaper and more versatile.
ОтветитьAppkettle for me, all other gadgets not for me
ОтветитьHitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy text game. Inventory. You have “No tea”. A battle with a food synthesizer. You have to teach the bloody thing to make proper tea.
Ответитьmy dude is like yeah i didnt think i needed a device to every word i said until i had one then i realized i needed everything i said to be sent to the government. - Basically when talking about the alexa
ОтветитьMy American ass wants the butter dish now
ОтветитьOkay, but the temperature controlled kettle (if it is actually precise) could be great for the heating up formula (this needs to be above 70C to kill bacteria, but you don’t’t want it boiling too), does what the first gadget couldn’t do for nicer lose leaf tea. If you into pour over coffee that is also a useful thing. If you giving a baby a bath, heating up a kettle to 36C is easier than running warm water and checking temperature. Sourdoughs and ferments also have preferable temperatures. I will not be buying one, but I can see why someone might like it.
Ответитьheh during the warm months where I live in Nevada I cant leave butter out. It will be entirely melted in one day.
ОтветитьI have too many gadgets in my kitchen because of you guys. I have to say I love them though.
Ответитьround pizza pan makes a great lid
ОтветитьMost of the "smart gadgets" solve problems that don't exist.
ОтветитьI would buy that butter dish. My daughter always leaves the butter out at room temperature after she uses it. The only time I wouldn't use it is during the hot summer of Norfolk, VA.
ОтветитьPLEASE mute yourself saying ALEXA. You literally turned off my TV while trying to watch your video. 😢😮😊
Ответить
