I love both Paloma and Lana and would rather not put either down. But I would like to mention that Lana has been singing under different names for a long time and yes she can sing. I think because she is so unconventional, people say she can't sing. They are both amazing and talented and there's no need to put either one down!

I've loved Paloma since 2009 and I've loved Lana since the beginning of this year. Regardless I'm equally huge fans of both. They're both retro but in completely different ways- Lana is the gritty and melancholy side of the 50s and 60s and Paloma the extravagant and flamboyant side. Both amazing but still different.

That is so true. I hate that these psuedo-fans always find the need to find compare the artist to someone else. Why can't we just love them because they're awesome and end it at that!

Lana Del Rey can't really sing, the only good thing about her are her music videos which have great film-making. She's image. Paloma Faith is package and genius songwriting.

I love her fashion style and image, very beautiful and classy, I really admire the nostalgic pinup blues singer thing she does...however I hate her music.... =/ I'm sorry I just think its awful =( what a bummer.

Maybe it's not on the radio because she sings through her nose. She has a lot of vocal styling, fine pitch, etc., but lots of singers have that and don't let their voices get stuck in their noses.

I think it has more to do with loneliness and insecurity rather than image based self obsession.

It's a great pity that her speaking voice doesn't match the demure beauty of her face or singing voice.

She's beautiful, so is her singing, speaking voice & everything about her. I HONESTLY have no idea what your talking about, but I'd doubt many ppl like your speaking voice either, same for me. Than again, everyone's entitled to their opinion, even if it IS douche-y.

I saw my fist Paloma Faith video many years ago. In every song she sings she is very expressive and the lyrics are brilliant. I love the costumes she uses in her songs. Brilliant in every way.
