a little easy tip for getting unique textures on the long bass- use convolution reverb with white noise(or unorthodox sounds) as the impulse response. Adjust decay of IR to taste.

Great tutorial, I recommend tho instead of pitch bend you can enable MPE on the piano roll, go to note expression, and then you can make envelope curves that actually line up right with the semitones for more precision with glides/bends

I always write in E because where its located on the keyboard, what started as a bad habit turned smooth when finding that fundamentally it has rhe best sub and most clarity aswell. C too low G too high E, just right. D isnt bad either.
