To me (a gc1-2) the state of solo q is broken. One match you could find a mate with the brain capacity of a newborn ant, and the next you find the new zen. Don't get me wrong it could be a skill issue, but it feels like after c3 so many people have bought their accounts. Now with finding mates on the discord its alright, but most the people i find i either play a couple of game then get off or lose like 2 then get blocked. After c3 not having a perm duo is one of the most annoying ranked experiences to me. Great vid btw really enjoying your channel

Sometimes i feel like im the only person who just actually enjoys the whole rocket car soccer thing. I only play casual, I never FF unless there's just a couple seconds left on clock, we're down multiple points, and teammate wants to. Idgaf about winning I have loads of fun flipping around, experimenting with dashes, going for plays that are way beyond me. I get loads of teammates who cant comprehend enjoying the game. If I'm playing badly I get insulted and teammates give up, idle, or leave. Often it is subtle like they will stop trying to pass the ball or they won't even try to follow up plays I make. I had one teammate just play for the other team. If I'm playing well they want to be my friend right up until I have a bad match, then they lose interest. It's like they have the attitude if you suck at the game you shouldn't be playing and they definitely don't want to play with you. I've even heard of players stopping playing with their friends because they surpass them in skill/rank. How shallow can you get? Let's not forget to mention people always take bumps and demos personally. I try not to care what people think or say, but I'm only human. The rocket league community just sucks all the joy out of the game. The people with this kind of attitude are not an exception it is the norm. It's no wonder how it's always so hard to get friends who are actually fun to get into the game, just a couple online matches and anybody can pick up on the horrible attitude of rl players. From my perspective, everyone complaining about the ranked system and bad teammates just seem unfun. It is fundamentally egotistical to be so emotionally invested in winning and your rank vs just having fun flying around learning mechanics and going for epic plays.

the Roblox community is worse

Im stuck in c2 now for a few months and i 100% blame my tm8s.
Mostly becuase i dont have any, roughly 80% of my mactches player wound up being a 2v1 by 3 mins left or 2 mins left :D i win about 40% of these regardless

I have gotten to c3 now with solo q, to me, ever since the start, I have focused on one thing: improving myself. This means when i have a shit teammate, i will simply take it as an oppertunity to learn how to play around someone who ballchases, bumps, even people who attack your own net. I now have more experience in a 3v1 thanks to those teammates and im just grateful for them now. In the end each match in itself doesnt make as much of a difference, its the accumulation of experience you gain from each match that matters. So when i meet smurfs who play like what i see SSL play like, im overjoyed instead of mad, i also know that by playing, ill eventually get the rank i want anyways, so whats the rush? To me, if i got SSL in a short time, i would feel that the journey to get it was so anticlimactic. SSL is a HUGE achievement because its so hard to get. And exactly why i dont want to ruin that by buying an account, or even rushing trying to get it. Ive had tons of times where i cant focus and play really bad one game and my tm8 gets mad and wants to ff. In the end, i don't like to ff because losing is probably one of the fastest ways to improve, because how you lost is something you can remember and take into account the next time. Honestly, if i were to sit and lose to an SSL in a 1v1 for x amount of games, i could sit there for hours without a single win and not lose motivation, i find it very enjoyable actually. I would rather do that then win against a bronze 100 times in a row xD.

I refuse to play with people who are too incompetent to think about whats going on in the game and think ahead. Seriously, I'm so done carrying idiots for them to lose us the game in some spectacularly stupid way.

Honestly I stopped blaming teammates after getting out of plat. Not because I was wrong, but blame just makes me lose focus. Even if someone made a mistake, there is no way to go back in time to fix it. It happened so many times that my teammate left and i was in a 2v1 situation, but 80% of the times i played better without them and even made comebacks. It always makes me a bit happy to know losing was mostly not my fault

Now I don't play ranked RL, it was going great until I lost my level cuz I stopped playing and now i'm being insulted in ranked 2v2 and even if we are winning just cuz I can't do beautiful shots, ceiling shots or flip reset, mates make me lose by afk voluntary. But bro, if we are winning just by doing simple shot it is bcs the other team sucks don't blame me lol. So yeah pretty sad community

Here's my view: I could have a teammate who is 12 however they are as mechanically gifted as it gets, option two is I get someone closer to my age however they are trash at the game. I am always picking the trash player who is older and more mature, because at least they are going to be trying their best and not intentionally throwing the game. I will not get mad at someone in ranked for being bad, I will get mad at them for having the worst mentality and biggest ego. At the end of the day the game was made for people to have fun, and a toxic, immature child does not make that fun.

Some champ or GC got frustrated in his main ACC because his teammate said to him that he sucks. Then he decides to log off from main ACC and hop on his smurf ACC that is in plat or diamond and THEN he is talking crap to others.
Finding excuses for smurfing is a new low for the RL community "Oh, It is a skill issue, it is fun, it is expirament", like stfu.

To be fair since free to play, smufing has made it hard, to the point where i don't play at the weekends anymore. It's smurf town. But what are they gonna do, ban an account, that one email address later, the player is back up and running.
Oh, them golden times when you'd run into a smurf, but at least you knew this petulant wanklord paid money for an alt-account , making them all the more pathetic.

I need more places to look for teammates, because Dropshot is such a rare gamemode to find a team for yet somehow I keep finding partied teams in the gamemode and idk where to look

everyone complaining about their teammates just know: You are also the problem, you also don’t know how to play the game, you just don’t know what to look for or how to think. I guarantee you all you’re all just as bad if not worse.

I never get the 99% of players who ff. So you are getting beat bad? You could A: Hang in there and try to learn versing against better players or B: get out and spend more time against people you can already beat. It's like people playing for wins and not for improvements.

I’ve been solo queue only since day 1 and after 1500 hours I’m 1 division away from D2, the player base has gotten so toxic that I’ve had people leave ranked games not even a minute into the match, causing me to lose countless MMR points. If you’re a solo Queue player, just play casual because anything above gold in ranked is an absolute hell hole

The community is so cooked. I’ve never had to mute chat in a game before but these people are insufferable. Free to play really boomed us
