15 Republic of Lesbos a CK2 LP

Up to this point i had not played as a christian Republic i had not messed around with the pop in the new DLC nor had i played in the Byzantium so i thought why not do all 3 so i created a republic in the isle of Lesbos, now stop loling its a real place with a rich history

and well i am adding some Alt History

Rarver then seeing financial ruin the count of lesbos convinced the Basilicas that the italian merchant republics were making too much money from the empire it was not a hard thing to do as the basilicas still felt that both Venices and amalfi were meant to be part of the Empire and not independent so the fact that they was also still profiting from the Empire was insult to injury.

the Count used the basilicas Distance for the republic to persuade him to Let the count set up a Republic for Constantinople well almost he was not willing to give up any land near the capital but he did make the Count a Duke.

with this new power he invented money men from far a field to set up this venture (in practise this was the smaller of the italian banking families that had been pushed out but the establish republic and a member of house karling who though rich was unlikely to ever inherit anything
