Simrat's acting for Baani's character was not catching up. It was lacking something. Also, the short film put light on the madness of a painter but left out the criminal aspect of it. Baani's friends and her colleagues all knew Abheek as his paintings were the ones chosen for the play. When Baani goes missing for a few days, the first thing that people will do is look where she was seen last and with whom, which clearly points to Abheek. When that happens, investigation on Abheek will be on and as shown in the film, Abheek is a psychopath who does serial killings. And if he repeats the same process as portrayed, he'd be caught immediately. Therefore, it is impossible for Abheek's character to be sitting in the same cafe and applying the same tricks for his fifth prey. Anyways, the overall plot and story idea, apart from these aspects, is a good one. Looking forward to seeing more such pieces.
