You can't explain to anyone why Miatas are cool now, because Miatas have always been cool.
ОтветитьWe don't think they are cool lol
ОтветитьI loved the questions about the mechanical side of cars.
ОтветитьMiata’s were, are and will always be cool (and most of the time the best choice)
ОтветитьQuestion: why are fords absolute garbage?
ОтветитьNo one noticed the spoiler question/plane wing graphic was reversed?
Ответить"I wonder why solar-powered cars aren't a thing yet"
Because electric cars still run off coal.
This was awesome. I hope we get him back soon! Dude looks like he actually knows his thing, and it's always great to see someone showing why they are at the level they are.
ОтветитьFor professor Chris Gerdes: I wonder if one could create a battery that the consumable part is the liquid in the batter - the other parts are either not consumed or consumed very slowly. Need to recharge? dump the old liquid, pump in new.
ОтветитьI usually love these expert videos, but this really felt like a PR video for electric and autonomous cars. Lots of really safe answers that didn't exactly answer the questions.
ОтветитьGREAT VIDEO super informative very entertaining! Dude is super intelligent but I can’t get past those eyes like he’s on cocaine or sumthing 😂😂😂ig bro is just super passionate🤣 LOVE IT!
ОтветитьMiserable video to watch for anyone with the slightest interest in ME, cars, or general awareness.
ОтветитьAutonomous vehicle deaths are much less tolerable than human caused
ОтветитьThe Miata is not cool.
ОтветитьWell…
I own a Miata NB … here in Germany 🇩🇪 and I can tell you … it feels like that you could drive in a 90• corner around the edge of a street … truly satisfying for country roads …👍
You know he's a real guy by how he pronounced "Porsche"
Ответитьthis guy is wrong, spoilers dont generate downforce they reduce drag... hes not really a "racer" type of mechanic he just blabs and understands computers.
ОтветитьMiatas were always cool.
ОтветитьCome on man why would you destroy a DeLorean?
Ответитьwhy would you waste so much time and money on a drifting robot car when trains already exist and are better
we've had autonomous trains for 90 years
THERES JUST CASUALLY A DALOREAN BEHIND HIM?
Ответить25 yr old mechanic here i hate newer cars cuz I understand them, I drive a 1987 nissan d21 pickup with 400k miles last year I rebuilt the entire engine for a total of $300 and now I get another 400k out of it 😂😂 fresh cold ac and fresh motor I also have a spare trans if this one ever goes out but manual trans are durable as heck
ОтветитьMIATA: Miata is always the answer 🥳
ОтветитьMiatas have always been cool.
ОтветитьCool ‘now’??
lol.
Actual driving enthusiasts who have been tracking /racing cars have been enjoying them for the past 30 years .
for pure in the moment enjoyment, either of my Miatas are/were more rewarding to drive than my tuned Audis or BMWs with 2-3x the power.
So this was just an advertisement for electric vehicles...
ОтветитьBrave man run while you can.
ОтветитьYou did WHAT to a Delorean?! 😢
ОтветитьImagine when they start doing planned obsolescence with cars and their software. We thought phones were bad.
ОтветитьTo @heyZell.. miatas have always been cool, and if you have to ask why, well, you've probably never been cool. Buy a cybertruk.
ОтветитьOnce many autonomous cars are on the road, someone driving a non-autonomous car will be able to drive like a maniac.
The autonomous vehicles will make way to avoid accidents. The manual driver will be able to bully their way through traffic.
Thus was definitely sponsored by EVs 😅
ОтветитьIf you're looking to buy a new car this year the best option would be a Tesla Model 3 (a Y has a lot more room) with the IRA tax credit. Teslas are incredibly reliable, have long life expectancies and in ten years will not only save you the $10k premium (less with the credit) you have to pay, but will save you an additional $10k over gas, repair costs, brake jobs, etc... And it will still have at least 20 years to go. (Batteries lose about 2% in the first couple of years, but then almost nothing after that. There are several 400,000 mile 2012 Model S still using their original batteries. I have a 2020 Model Y Long Range. 45,000 miles, brakes are still almost new. It drives itself.
ОтветитьMiata is just cute ^-^
Ответитьit was a lot of software and electrical engineering
ОтветитьMiatas COOL??? Yeah, never going to happen... it was built as a chic-car... it was marketed as a chic-car... and will always be chic-cars...
Ответить"I want to get in my car, not control it, not care about it, and reach my destination" Ever heard about trains or metros?
ОтветитьConveniently makes no mention whatsoever of the cataclysmic resource shortfall caused by this battery nonsense.
ОтветитьI'm thinking the question on why cars looked more boxy "back then" may have been referring to the early 1980s rather than the 1920s.
ОтветитьChargering system 😂😂
ОтветитьWhat is an autonomous car going to do in a foggy snow storm? Are they going to turn the driving back over to the human in that case? If they do we now have a human that doesn't have much practice driving dealing with a very difficult situation that is hard for the best drivers that have to drive 100% of the time. Does the car just stop, stranding people in the mountains in a snow storm?
ОтветитьMiatas are still not cool
ОтветитьVery interesting video.
I appreciate that :)
No such thing as self driving cars here in Canada, it's all banned.
Ответитьruined a DeLorean
ОтветитьA bit sad to only see ev tbh was kinda expecting more automotive questions not programming
ОтветитьI have a car with solar panels (2019 Prius PHV Solar). Panels charge a dedicated battery which then, overnight, adds charge to the traction battery. On a good sunny day, it can add 3-4 km of pure EV driving. Which, for that car, makes perfect sense.
Ответить70's cars being more reliable is a total myth. There was a reason there were service stations on every corner then and nowhere to be seen now.... I don't find cars hard to maintain now either. Just need different tools.
