One of the funniest things preventing this from being a single cam sitcom is Adam Corolla can't make himself look like the 70's Burly Man Dad Alpha he wants to represent. :p
ОтветитьIts kind of funny how this type of right wing is slowly disappearing for the groyper types
ОтветитьThere are storylines in live action Modern Family that are more outlandish than this stupid cartoon
ОтветитьIt's actually really sad. Carolla used to use this character to satirize boomer-ass toxic masculinity. But now he thinks the only way he can get work is to use this character to promote that very culture, which he knows is wrong. A true case of living long enough to become the villain.
ОтветитьThis is so much funnier than anything that's ever come out of the Daily Wire.
ОтветитьThe "brick and mortar store" joke could work in something like King of the Hill, where Peggy says it sounding smug and then chuckles at her own little joke before writing it down but man does it not carry weight here
Ответитьim not here to argue the show is good, but why is it so mandatory that everything become soft and gay? why cant masculinity be allowed to exist?
ОтветитьI haven't seen a microwave without a "30 sec" button since I was a middle schooler listening to Loveline
ОтветитьThe entire Daily Wire home entertainment division is just a massive money laundering operation for Groypers who sell CP to Q deadenders investigating the Clintons on Twitter.
ОтветитьJewish and Gay
ОтветитьWish pretentious yuppie white people stopped thinking they're cool for shitting on Family Guy cutaways
ОтветитьIf this wasn't a right wing propaganda cartoon, they could've had the husband and wife switch ideologies, with Mr. Birchum's love of skilled trades getting him into trade unions and collective bargaining and Mrs. Birchum's exposure to the home owning class pushing her towards fiscal conservatism.. but no, that would risk pushing the 100% conservative viewer base to the left out of pure curiosity and self-reflection.
Meanwhile, Hank Hill had the courage to admit that the grass fed cattle ranchers and farmer's market hippies produced the ingredients for his highest praised family dinner, because he's not one dimensional.
Mr. Birchum is doing the Jeb Bush pose
ОтветитьI love that Ben did a little social engineering to get all the evidence of how cooked this "show" is
ОтветитьThe Bet is on.
ОтветитьThis was cool and all, untill the pretentious jerk off "deflated" when he said he respected family guy. As if this no name was a comedic genius.
ОтветитьThe new norm is a spin off of this?
ОтветитьThis show gave me cancer
ОтветитьI love how all these rightoids can't make anything without it being inspired by Family Guy, American Dad, or something else that's more successful
ОтветитьCarolla's Mr Bircham character is even older than Crankyankers. It was a schtick he developed for KROQ morning radio in 1994, a year before he started doing Loveline. So this show is the second time he's recycled this character.
ОтветитьI got a daily wire ad in this video... TW: for a ben Shapiro jumpscare. And the cringe of Matt Welsh and "look at me im the victim" michael knowles.
ОтветитьWhats also very funny that the only people this animated show triggered was... Conservatives.
ОтветитьI’m part of a writers group in my city. It’s a good group. Some of us have published in small magazines (not me, yet). When someone new joins it’s pretty obvious some times bc novices really badly have a point of view or opinion they want to get across and it overwhelms everything. When it comes to writing stories—and I imagine jokes are the same—there’s a certain structure you have to follow or it won’t feel right. If you don’t know these conventions—like just simple set up and payoff—the piece comes across as aimless and just not good. This show sounds like that. Their goal was to make a show with a conservative pov and they took the path of least resistance to get there, with no mind paid to structure or anything.
Ответитьwoof
ОтветитьWhich right wing bitch bankrolls those cringe shows?
ОтветитьThis show definitely seems like it was made by a bunch of washed up right-wingers.
ОтветитьWhats funny is that a significant amount of this shows own target audience rejected it because simply having a gay character, even one thats a stereotype who is constantly mocked, was too much for them.
ОтветитьYou cant have conflict in a show when you've fabricated a world where you are always right.
ОтветитьI love that Washington Examiner review that exposes how conservative shows nowadays make these self-insert OCs who are never shown to have meaningful flaws. Yes, Birchum is a total asshole but it DOESN'T MATTER because he always has to be right in order to pander to the conservative audience that wants its views validated.
Indeed, he's nothing like Peter Griffin or Bart Simpson, and that's because they are allowed to be wrong and face a comeuppance for their opinions and bad actions, like Birchum bullying the kids and making them do free labor.
2 million dollars to produce THE WHOLE SHOW? Idistinctly remember that a single episode of Avatar The Last Airbender cost one million.
There are shoe string budgets, and then there is THIS catastrophe.
Been waiting way too long for them to trash Adam Carolla.
ОтветитьI surprised they went with the "daughter is into tools and construction" angle, when in Ladyballers, their message was clearly that girls should stick to girl things and not bother trying anything a man does.
ОтветитьIt's why all "right wing" comedy fails
You can't be the cool guy AND be funny. If you're cool, you're not the fool. You're who the fool is going AFTER.
They won't ever understand that. Why? Because you have to eventually grow dafuq up to be able to understand you're not always right (no pun intended lol).
It was pretty cool to see they got Nick Mullen to voice the chinese power tools
ОтветитьA show so vacuous that I forgot they already talked about it
ОтветитьMr Birchum originated as a call in radio character for Jimmy Kimmel's radio show.
Also, this was always the Mr. Birchum character, I'm not sure about this 180 they're talking about.
There needs to be a physical media release, with Adam Carolla doing a commentary track for every episode.
ОтветитьKing of the Hill was written by people who know how to write good characters, good humor and story. Mr Birchum is made by people purely who have no idea how to write...anything and only made the show so that they could "trigger the libs". The 2011 version of the cartoon is much better
ОтветитьWhat is Oshi?
Ответитьso much for punching down
ОтветитьYou can tell they didnt watch Tuca and Bertie before claiming it was soulless and without human emotion.
ОтветитьConstruction workers are far more heroic than members of the armes forces.
ОтветитьI guess this is case closed on whether "Go woke go broke" is true.
ОтветитьI'm new to the CTH crew. I'm enjoying this conversation, but there's one member of this team that says "like" WAAAAAY too much. At least three times in every sentence (and usually more) It's like trying to listen to a 12 year old getting to a point.
He should work on that.
"this is the worst adult animation ever produced"
The new norm: "hold my normal beer 🍺"
