OMG! You said, “believe you me” in your description. Now that is country hell! Now I love you even more! 🤣🤣
ОтветитьBless you, all good🙏❤️
ОтветитьA normal person wouldn't know the damn differance....dont draw to much attention to your faults...
ОтветитьHave chimed in to your posts just recently, and after watching many of different stories on photography, your series turned out to me to provide the most benefits: in terms of photography passion, in terms of being proud in what you do, in terms of living your dream, and in terms of not making it for the money. Awesome work Nick, keep that up please, I'm one of your new and very excited followers! Keep me motivated :)
ОтветитьI just wanna know how to make the huge polaroid
ОтветитьA hundred bucks or so for a print that big is cheap. This side of the pond it’d cost you at $250
ОтветитьHi Nick...just found your channel. I like your style...super fun!
ОтветитьAnother great video Nick! Really making me think about upping my printing game
ОтветитьI'm a little late to this video but I need to tell you that I really love the scenes you capture. Most people would not even think of photographing a laundromat or liquor store or old decrepit gas station. This is the reason I love your work, it is different and out side of the box. By the way, your idea with the polaroids was genius. I'm a new photographer and your works of art inspire me. Thank you.
ОтветитьSure your photos are good! I like the style also.
Ответитьhi Nick, excuse the question, but usually you check the prints in that light ?, which light bulbs mount on the ceiling? maybe the green of the neon accentuates the green of the print?
ОтветитьNick, I'm obviously a little late on watching your video, but I wanted thank you for sharing your experience with a far from ideal art festival. I just started doing art festivals this year and the last one I did, one of the biggest and best in the area, was not a commercial success, for much the same reasons as you experienced (rain and poor booth location), but I did have a ton of great feedback and people were clearly engaged with my work. Your story helps me see the value I received, even if it isn't reflected on my income statement. Thanks! @chipfreundphoto
ОтветитьPhotographs are not worth paying for, usually. But your work is exceptional - very crisp, very disciplined, and terrific subject matter. And you printed them properly, too. I'm not paying for an inkjet print, thank you very much.
ОтветитьWhere did you get your labels? Or how did you make them?
ОтветитьThose pictures look awesome printed big and on display, really nice work.
ОтветитьgreAT SOUNDING CAMERA SOUND MAKE ONE. sad bro for your gold moment that got abit sour due to rain. But great half glass full out look of the hole thing. Got some that spiritual currency after give a print of a event that i toke some picture some friend.
Ответитьthey have a saying beware of the Greeks bearing gifts. Trojan horses are what you not going to except but Sometime asking like a greek give you spiritual currency maybe small copy of your art to give out to people, that no show genuine passion for your art.. may to in customers later on on the bigger side eg when the building a new house
ОтветитьThey have a saying beware of the Greeks bearing gifts. eg "Trojan horses" think of this concert in reverse. let the greek mentality give you the spiritual currency, maybe small copys of your art to give out to people, that no show genuine passion for your art.. May lead to customers later on, to bigger sale eg. When the building a new house and need a picture to fill a room. Here my gift to you, Vincent van Gogh, never sold much of his work, but he never give on up on expressing himself in his desire art form, look at his legacy now. One of the most renowned in artists world. Mandatory return is always key to art. and the other huge copy still aim to sell it even if the green is over power to your eyes
ОтветитьNick what did you use for your placards to attach to the flourish panels?
ОтветитьI am from Việt Nam... thank you so much for all your video... I watch your video every day
ОтветитьAbsolutely love your work mate!
Keep it up and I'm happy to hear you looking at the positives out of a not so great day!
Proud of ya!
Really interesting video. I got a lot out of it. Thanks!
ОтветитьUhm stupid question what mm was the lens and what cameras was this taken with ? i specially came to this channel because i was impressed with the picture and was wondering if i can reproduce it with a normal digital camera... :D
ОтветитьVery well said 👍🏻 do you ever visit the UK? Scotland in particular.
ОтветитьLOVE the video, so good. Your a fantastic photographer. I have just started back shooting film, your work is an inspiration. Your message for this video is spot on I can super relate to this SPIRITUAL currency idea. Keep up the great work, always a pleasure to watch your vids
ОтветитьYours is the most enjoyable and authentic photography channel on Y/tube. 'Spiritual currency' is so much what drives you, and attracts us. Keep going man!
ОтветитьI know I’m late to the game.. but are any of those triptychs still available for sale? Those are awesome.
ОтветитьJust watched this. I know the rain sucked, but I'd take the rain over 2020.
ОтветитьWell I’m glad to hear you had that moment. Your work is very interesting. I admit I was a little dubious at first of the donut shop kind of images. But they really really come alive at the large scale.
To me photography is about capturing a moment that reveals an inner and sometimes timeless world inside of things that is not actually visible but can be felt or perceived. I think your distant vistas of hills and the night building shots really have that.
I think your work is especially admirable in that it is one thing to take magnificent photographs in Iceland or in Norwegian fjords, but it’s a whole other thing to make the same kind of riveting image of a donut shop. So, wow and bravo!
Been there and done that! Used to sell enough work to cover my expenses and buy some new equipment. Now photography isn't selling for anyone at our shows and I've ended up with a storage problem for work that I really like. I can't pay my bills with compliments. If I could I'd be rich. Now I'm only posting my images on social media. I still get great compliments minus the expense, work and storage problem. Damn a bunch of cell phones.
ОтветитьExcellent video and thoroughly personal and courageous as always .
ОтветитьYears ago I read in 'T Orlands Compendium of Photographic Truths" an item about the SX-70. It said the hardest part of creating the SX-70 camera was to get the sound of the ejecting photograph to sound like an electronic puke. "Bleeeechhh..."
ОтветитьWould you mind sharing the name of the printer you use? Great videos!
ОтветитьLate to comment, so long after the fact. But your work is inspiring to millions. Think of that.
ОтветитьNick, just think... a hundred years from now when we are long gone, collectors will be clamoring to pay millions for our work!

Good work!
ОтветитьForget the greens! Your customers will never notice! I bought my own large format printer and loved having it.
ОтветитьHaving a real show in a good gallery with a real opening was a fantastic experience for me. After the show a bunch of friends met at a restaurant nearby. When I walked in after the show everyone applauded. It was completely unexpected and really nice. Kept me working for a long time thereafter.
ОтветитьYou are great Nick your work and process its an example to follow!!
ОтветитьLoved hearing what you said, "feeling pride for what you created, of your work, of your gallery" (and how you don't time to soak it in). That is very inspiring for others!
Ответить🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
