It was a great experience. I wept bitterly when I heard the news of his demise. What a crazy world. May his wonderful and Prophetic soul continue to rest in peace.

from the very first song I ever heard him sing, called, Slave, about alcoholism. Crying Games, so beautiful while nursing a broken heart, then his song about ‘they’ won’t build schools anymore, just prisons’
And the songs from the perspective of a child who’s daddy’s new wife doesn’t want him to see his children.
I’m the mom of a gun shooting victim, a beautiful 17 year old named Donnie, who was 6’7” tall.
And I’d rather be the grieving mother any day, who lost a beautiful son to murder, than be Judas’s mother, or the mothers of these punks that killed 3 of the most beautiful souls that ever walked this planet, my son Donny Avery, my favorite musical artist Lucky Dube, and my Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
