Dead Space Remake Endings Explained, And How It Sets Up Dead Space 2 Remake

I just recently beat the remake . And I really enjoyed it ! I beat Callisto protocol first , and although many people didn’t care for it . I really enjoyed both . Callisto felt very similar except focusing on a more melee approach which I thought was pretty cool . Both were very enjoyable games and it would be awesome if they did the sequels to dead space also !

I thought Kendra was sent to transport the red marker to another planet to hide it again, not bring it back to Earth. The Unitologists wanted to bring it back to Earth, not EarthGov.

the only reason dead space 3 is a failure is because they stopped making dead space 4

They did this remake justice I want dead space 2 remake I now it don’t really need one it’s one of my favorite outta of the 3

I just finished this game. Never played the original, but will soon, and I can’t wait to see what motive does next. I really hope that they go the route of completely reimagining the series. Like how cool would it be to just basically remake the second dead space game with a similar plot but still very different. It might be the first game to have a remake change completely from the original. Idk. I think that’s pretty wishful thinking but it would be awesome!

You can pick up a audio log where you see nicole the first time and the actor in the audio log says „Cross“. The fact that they actually put in a log which shows the true dialogue between Isaac and Cross which are apparently Temple and Cross flashes my mind.

Worst part of the game was the final boss fight which just sucked.

After finishing Dead Space 1 remake I really hope they remake Dead Space 2.

Why do people watch these? Basically just a lazy plot summary that isn't even correct. Earthgov doesn't want to bring the marker to earth and it was never on earth in the first place. It's clearly explained by kendra.

If Dead Space 2 gets a remake I want the multiplayer remade, it told a story happening alongside Isaac's and we got to play as Necromorphs.

Can anyone explain to me the headless ending and why it happened and what it means.

The canon twist was cool, but with me paying super close attention all game I was kinda lost on even who she was at the end. I mean I knew but I just remember talking to her once or twice about leviathan

I'd rather have a DS4 than a DS2 remake but I'm pretty sure they're gonna remake 2 anyways, I wouldn't be mad though, I'll still play it because I love the Dead Space franchise. Motive did a hell of a job with this remake and I'd really want to see what they could do with a brand new DS game.

Seems like more of a hint that they want to do 2 next to me, which i hope they do. 3 definitely needs it the most, 2 doesn't need that much work but a little bit of polishing couldn't hurt. It'd also be neat if they made extraction into a proper dead space game instead of an on rails shooter, then they'd have the potential to expand the story of the severed dlc into a full game to be extraction 2 (which it basically was anyway)

Hope they make a D4 instead of D2.

Look. Real simple and I might get some hate for this. Dead space two, yes. Dead space 3… yes, BUT DONT TAKE THE COOP OUT!! here’s the reason. Not only could it lead to a really good story, but they can expand using Isaac and John. If they do remake dead space three. I don’t care if they change that games story up a little, but certain aspects of the game felt awesome to me. The weapon building, and coop. If they keep those two in, I’m so going to build a PC, and buy the game just to play it on the hardest difficulty with my fam and slay necromorphs until I get carpal tunnel. Again I know I’ll get some hate for this but it’s cool.

They could even have a remake of the mobile game that showed the events leading up to 2, plus I really like the design for Vandal’s suit

well said. already though a remake of the 2nd is a must have and of the 3rd would be just nice if changed enough. this idea certainly has some merit and potential. hopefully they go with it.

People probably felt a little tired After playing The Callisto Protocol I know I felt burnt out on that type of game because let's face it they are practically the same type of game with some differences. I bought both games and liked Dead Space more but thought The Callisto Protocol looked much nicer. I think it was the Callisto Protocol that kind of hurt the Dead Space remakes sales.

Why can't they just use an alternate timeline for Dead Space 3 so we can see Motive's vision of the sequel

Did all of y’all really just hate 3? Yes the coop should’ve been better and it wasn’t fully horror based but weapons gameplay and story I thought was decent for the most part. But I still do agree a reboot is needed for 3. Just a faithful remaster for 2 is just fine. 2 was absolutely perfect

Like SERIOUSLY? At this point the video could be just 5 seconds of black screen with white text "PLAY DEAD SPACE 2 TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE STORY" and it would be the same effect.

To me I interpreted his desire to build a new marker not as something he was going to do but simply something that allowed the events of the sequel to happen. Giving him the knowledge of how to make a marker is what allows the events on the sprawl to take place and gives the unitologists a reason to experiment on Issac between games.

Honestly I hope they don't simply remake Dead Space 3, they should make a reboot. The third game was so incredibly bad, I think this would be a really good idea and a nice setup for a fourth installment.

They should make a dlc for dead space 1 which takes place on the colony before the arrival of the USG kellion. A prequel like dead space extraction or the short movie.

Changing major story beats was a mistake. Particularly Hammond and the Nicole hallucinations actually being a real person. If they remake 2, they'll be shooting themselves in the foot if they alter the relationship between Isaac and the marker further.

The pitch for Dead Space 4 accoring to PrettyGoodGaming and Eurogamer was going to open with humanity having lost the fight against the Necromorph, and a lone survivor wakes up in a debris field and has to fight off zero-g monsters whilst collecting components to build a ship to escape. The twist would be you could escape, but knowing the truth would you want to?

I would like faithful Dead Space 2 remake and a almost completely different Dead Space 3 remake.

One thing I realy liked about the Remake is the scene where Kendra is about to die. Despite her betraying Isaac and intending to leave him for dead, he still tries to save her.

That, and various other scenes in the Remake show that Isaac is compassionate and willing to help just about anyone. It’s a small detail, but I think it goes a long way in developing Isaac’s personality.

With everything that happen to his parents and love of his life I’d imagine he want to make another marker to make them suffer the way he did

Personally I think they should give 2 this treatment and then just redo ds3 and make it their own which would allow them to pave the way for future titles.

The alternate ending is cool like a Silent Hill 3 "corrupted" ending but, it is there to hype up the Dead Space fans who are waiting for Dead Space 2 Remake
Isaac is obviously talking to the player and to Nicole at the same time, I think that EA Motive will be building us a surprise as well and that we are going to like it !

Imagine if Halo Combat evolved gets a re-make as well.

What do it matter? EA and Motive will bring in a panel of Dead Space experts who are experts on "EASY" level and then make a decision on the future of Dead Space. I'll just be playing the game, fighting these Things and getting killed in the meantime. Whatever they decide to do is fine with me. However, If I had a preference, I would prefer they remake Dead Space Extraction. That would be great!

What do you mean the alternate ending doesn't have any relation to dead space 2? That's the whole reason issac was brought to titan station in the first place? Was to build markers for the unitologists. So when he says he has to build a little something first, I'm pretty sure thays what he means. And the bluish hue of light with all that unitology symbols? Theres no way that's not a little easter egg

The second ending isn't alternative ending it a epilogue ending the second playthrough is all in isaac mind replaying before he goes insane and he doesn't help gov because no one would work with an insane man so they just take what in his head and the reason he's sane again is because he doesn't remember going insane in the first place he only remember the part before he was jump
