Woo! Illuminae! My number 1 too! :) Loved it soo much!! I couldn't even pick up another book for about 24 hours (maybe longer) after I finished it. I just sat there, thinking about everything that had happened! Ugh, can't wait for the 2nd one!!

Oh wow, happy you liked Illuminae so much. Personally I've been put off from buying it because I hate the cover but I just might go and buy the audiobook instead:) as for bookcon, I went to the first one ever and I'd have to say it was more unenjoyable than enjoyable (my second video ever was describing my time during it). Very unprofessional and crowded and hysterical and I haven't returned since. But maybe they fixed stuff idk, like I said it was the first one. x

Crown of Midnight is definitely much better than ToG, this is a series where books get better and better so I'm sure if you haven't read the other books, you're going to enjoy them a lot when you do :D. I'm so glad you loved Illuminae, I can't wait to pick it up!! You have a really good list and I'm so happy you enjoyed your reading year so much :)

All The Bright Places is one of my favourites of the year too, it was one of the first books I read this year but it's really stayed with me. Okay it's official, I am going to prioritise Hate List on my TBR (well just behind my university books because I'm so far behind reading them oops) for January because I've owned it forever and it sounds amazing! Also I don't know why I've never commented this before but I LOVE YOUR FUNKO POPS!! I have Belle but Mulan and Sadness are 2 of the ones that I want to get the most - SO CUTE!!

CROWN OF MIDNIGHT UGH SOOO GOOD. GAH. You're making me want to reread it, even though I just did that in September. I have heard SO many mixed things about All the Bright Places and I really want to try it out to see where I stand.

I love hearing that the later Throne of Glass books are better, because I really have the feeling that I'm not going to like them, so it's good to have hope that even if I don't at first, I might eventually haha. I also agree about the characters and their interactions being the best part of a book. I'm totally a character person more than a plot person.

I absolutely love the Cormoran Strike series! A few years ago when they found out that Robert is actually JK Rowling, I was in London, and everyone just freaked out haha. I'm currently reading the third book and I'm loving it!

I also LOVED Crown of Midnight I thought it was better than the first book and I am Team Chaol ALL THE WAY, but Heir of Fire seriously let me down so I can't wait to hear what you think of it!! Iluminae is another one that I have to get to in 2016 because I have actually yet to see a bad review of it which is pretty rare!

Yes to everything you said about All The Bright Places. It fels so earnest and genuine. I could connect to it so much because I've been seriously depressed in the past. Honestly, I can't understand how someone could say it wasn't an accurate portrayal.

I'm planning to go to BEA this year. Just have to work out the travel! Chicago is ridiculously expensive. I have been hearing a lot of great praise for Illuminae. I haven't picked it up yet thought! I'm going to try and get to the next to Cormaran Strike books this year, I LOVED the Cuckoo's Calling so much!

Illuminae was so great. I was a little afraid it wouldn't live up to the hype, but it totally did. Definitely one of my favorites of the year.
