They had this at the skating rink in the early 80’s. Thought it was badass.
Ответитьnot sure why today's pc games can not emulate real life graphics like this...
ОтветитьThis was the first game i paid 75 cents for. Had to go all the way to Toronto to play it
ОтветитьI beat this game as a teen. Great times at a burger joint.
ОтветитьI thought this game was so awesome when I was 4 years old.
Ответитьthis was a really big deal when it came out
Ответитьfor me the game doesn't show video, just your plane the targets and a black screen
ОтветитьDoes the screen-size explosion only happen if you lose the game?
ОтветитьI may have played this once at a Showbiz Pizza in Evansville.
ОтветитьIn 80's, I played this many times in Toyohashi, Japan.
ОтветитьSaw this in 1984 at a City 2, a mall outside of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was the coolest thing I'd ever seen :D
ОтветитьI wish there was a lasedisc arcade collection on current systems...
ОтветитьStill looks good in 2020.
ОтветитьThe overhead stages in this arcade game gave me serious motion sickness and vertigo as a child. I remember it used a large sit-down cabinet, like Pole Position. It was pretty cool but expensive, as were all the laserdisc games of the time. But we're talking about two tokens instead of one.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite games as a kid and so many times I would see MACH 3 on the side of a machine and get excited only to see the Out of Order sign over the quarter slot.. Game was way ahead of it's time
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention Gotlieb!
ОтветитьI used to play this every day..when it wasn’t out of order.
ОтветитьI played this in Punta del Este (Uruguay). With my walkman and "One Vision" (music from Iron Eagle) i was ready to play...this was the more realistic game for that time.
ОтветитьSomebody needs to make a game with real foitage again!
ОтветитьHow to turn a low-level machine and make it the queen of the arcade room? Add a Chroma key footage! Great Idea to empty our pockets! :DD
ОтветитьThanks! i've been looking for this game since i saw it at Niagara falls in 1985
ОтветитьI loved playing this game as a kid back in the 80s
ОтветитьAmazing, thanks for this!
ОтветитьUsed to play this at Show Biz Pizza, now known as Chuck E Cheese. The graphics were awesome for the 1980s.
Ответитьthink about the other games that came out in 1983 and how they looked compared to this game (they looked like shit)
ОтветитьI remember playing this whilst on Holiday in Blackpool,UK.Never could get past the Canyon fighter section, rock solid.
ОтветитьPlayed this at Showbiz Pizza in the 80's now called Chucky Cheese. Such an awesome game ahead of its time. This and FireFox.
ОтветитьI played this in Blackpool Tower in 1983 ish and it kept giving me a 'Disc Error - stay put'... the CD ROM had read errors and the game was bust.
ОтветитьTHIS is from 1983? Surreal.
ОтветитьIm sure this looked so cool back in the day but now this is just hilariously bad lol
ОтветитьInternet and Smartphoneless Arcadig laser disc video games
ОтветитьArcadig video games(Internetless)
ОтветитьPlayed the sitdown cabinet in 83 or 84 at Killeen Chuck E Cheese. Thought I'd never find it again, thanks for posting. Would love to play it again someday....
ОтветитьInternetless arcade laserdisc
ОтветитьM.A.C.H. 3(Smartphoneless)
ОтветитьMy coworker was the one who created this game. I didn't believe it at first but turns out he wasn't lying according to a quick google search. Even though he is much older now he still enjoys playing around with computers and code. He is now retired and works for fun.
ОтветитьWasn't this the first game to feature Laserdisc? Came out before Dragon's Lair I believe.
ОтветитьVery cool!!! I remember playing this!
ОтветитьLooks like it actually plays like a game, so that's cool...
ОтветитьGame developer #1: But how are we going to show the buildings blowing up?
Game developer #2: No, we don't have to do that, they will just scroll off the screen.
They had this game at Mcdill AFB near the px . Every I saw it in the arcade it was busy . Never played it but it looked good .
ОтветитьWhat a brilliant use of FMV in a game!
ОтветитьThis is the game that inspired Top Gun😄
ОтветитьI remember this when I was a kid. it was cool when they have real background but animated aircraft. and this game was fun too. oh, I missed the good old days.
ОтветитьThe footage on this laserdisc could never be reshot. In 2024, I simply couldn't imagine The Port of Los Angeles or the US Department of Defense allowing their facilities to be filmed in such detail.
ОтветитьI'd forgotten this game existed.
