My top (not in any particular order) are helluva boss/Hazbin hotel, Godspeed, Ramshackle, murder drones, and Lackadaisy.

My favorite indie animations are TADC, Helluva Boss, Murder Drones, BFDI, Lackadaisy, Zamination, SMG4, Spooky Month (and does Gametoons count).

Helluva Boss and Monkey Wrench should be a bit higher but pretty good list

Ur totally valid for thinking whatever u want but I just wanna say, Charlie being naive is both a plot point and what I think will be as huge amount of character development. Also Helluva Boss doesn’t have filler, it’s not a plot story. It’s episodic. I mean there’s definitely a plot that happens but it’s not a plot story. (That might be changing with season 2 but a lot of episodic stories have done that like Star vs The Forces of Evil)

Yes, I know you like murder drones, because I love murder drones is my thing what I like watching I was watching it since one episode one came out the pilot episode I loved it so much and now there’s like lots of episodes in us so good

(TADC makes me happy . It is colorful, it has cool designs, it has that psychological stuff, I get to hate Jax, its animated, it has a lot of awesome theming that I dream about … I adore it so much)

Big agree on GODSPEED and Lackadaisy, and btw Laisy was a webcomic that's hella worth the read. Beautiful art, and great story.

I somehow missed Murder Drones, but I'll check it out after this.

And finally, I'm mgonna reccomend the Box Assasin Pilot, the guy who did the origonal animation finally made a legit Pilot for it. Is gud.

My unsolicited advice: lower your tone at the end of sentences. When the pitch gets high at the end, it sounds like a weak question instead of a strong statement. It'll help sound more confindent.

MD, especially with the recent finale episode, has got to be the best (In my opinion) animated story (Not just indie) of all time...

Lackadaisy's animation is so insanely smooth but still cartoony, but also, it doesn't feel cheap or stilted in anyway. When the characters move, you see their whole body shift just a little, which makes it feel more alive. I know there is a rule/guide about frames, but every frame used has some movement unless it's meant to be still for effect. It's never still to try to cut corners. I marveled at watching Mordecai talk about chess and noticing the subtle movements in his shoulders while speaking. It would be super easy to have him stay more still and still be really engaging in his face and eyes. Tracy's drawing style is so incredibly detailed. I remember following the comic after someone recommended her as a guide for drawing both cartoon, but also incredibly realistic at the same time, as well as facial expressions because she's a master at it.
