Playing EU4 with NO DLC is AWFUL.

I got it for 5 £

I like to think of eu4 with no dlc as lite mode. Since a few dlc features are in the base game but majority is missing

I have played eu4 without DLC’s for like 300 hours, I don’t know how I survived tbh

never bought any dlc’s except the free ones, its ridiculous that there is no free update, its pay to win. I have no intention of buying any dlc’s because its a waste of money and their greedy.

since the base game (personally) is good, its just hard to master, i’m still bad lol.

So can I pirate the dlc at all?

the only upside to living in a poor country is that no one will care if you pirate games that you can't afford

I have the opposite problem, just bought the game for 27 bucks from humble bundle with all DLC's and I'm so confused how to play this game, all the tutorials are without DLC's, I need more brain power

Id wish to play Eu4 with dlcs but togehter they cost 400€ ....

Paradox is literally stealing money from us and the DLC should be Skins or more campaigns not changing the whole mechanics of the game. gui etc.
imma buy HOI4 instead imma not give about 1 k (in my country valute yes lol every dlc costs me about 1500 zł im from Poland ;-; ) so imma buy HOI4 LMAO

i bought eu4 at december 2021, and until june 2022 i had no dlc, they were two completly different games

Btw you can't even name your own fucking children. That comes in the "Rights of Man" DLC, which if you ask me is a cheeky way of saying fuck you by Paradox.

PDX acts like a mobile game developer that forces you to buy the game first. Instead of a gacha you have to buy the entire game little by little lol

I love how each time I use a guide or some handbook, I have to have all DLC’s so the guide is correct…. Also its so painful, honestly dlc’s make the game more enjoyable 100% more…

I could buy all the DLCs, but man this is outrageous! Paradox is just pissing on the faces of potential customers! Why the hell ANYBODY wants to get financially raped for a GODDAMN GAME!!! And when some people say I dont wanna pirate cuz unethical. Come on! And what Paradox is doing - that's ethical?! The only ETHICAL thing in this case is to show Paradox the middle finger. As someone who plays with no dlc, it just gets a bit boring since mission trees are almost always the same (some nations have mission trees that are a lot better than others). Colonizing is boring, just to slow and not much to do since you are just waiting around for a while then clicking a button. Most parts of the game feel quite underwhelming. I have trouble figuring out what to do when playing as some nations since most mission trees are practically non existent. Managing the army can be fun and anything involving vassals is terrible, I hate it. Overall the game with all dlc seems far better

The stupidest thing is the bundle with all the dlcs for eu4 costs 400$ (which is also more than double the amount for the bundle with all dlcs for civ 6) WHICH IS RIDICULUS at that point just buy another game. im happy that i got eu4 for free on epic games.

No regrets. Still though some of the dlc should just be fucking basegame

Im playing no dlc Aztecs and Europeans havent even settled in Mexico. I conquered like most of the peninsula but its boring now. I saw like Castile, Norway and France pass by but no settlement.
