This documentary fails to tell the truth of what caused this conflict. It had nothing to do with racism and everything to do with liberal/communist ideologies being pushed upon a society that flourished prior to it.
ОтветитьCommunism is a religion based on coveting everything all at once.
ОтветитьIt wasn't rule of the wealthy, you dirty commie. It was rule of the rational
ОтветитьPeople used to visit Rhodesia to see the ruins of Zimbabwe. Now they visit Zimbabwe and see the ruins of Rhodesia 😢
ОтветитьEver tried Zimbabwean food?
Yeah neither have they.
Zimbabwe must be doing really well these days, a first world nation no doubt.
Oh.
.wait.
the use of donkey kong country music seems most appropriate
ОтветитьI found the music selection to be very weird but after reading the comment of the creator it made sense. For a 14 year old this is pretty impressive work, regardless of the "historical inaccuracies" !!!
ОтветитьVery interesting. The music selection was outstanding. I think I am now going to go watch Apocalypse Now 😉
ОтветитьUriel Islands
ОтветитьEveryone is sceptical, I learned to get under my desk, abc may have come later!
Ответитьif you seriously made this for AP human geography i seriously hope you got an A for this... This is far and above the presentation videos ive made myself or seen made for AP courses.
ОтветитьThis video is very-very minimalist. Almost like an outline or enumeration. Nowhere a reason why happend this or that, and at the end Mugabe is depicted as a democratic leader who got his power through fair election. He was like a freedom fighter. Really? The communist's puppet who ruined the country, like all his communist master. I'm sorry I watched this channel video. Far the worst in connection with Rhodesia. I suspected this when I saw the lenght.
ОтветитьThe globalists and the communists had destroy Rhodesia- they could never accept black and white men working together
ОтветитьAll that criticism for white Rhodesia, then independence and look at it now.
ОтветитьLol. It’s worked out so well. Poorest country in the world.
ОтветитьThe global jooz hated this one.
ОтветитьGreat doco, thanks. I spent about four months there in the early 90's. Magabe basically destroyed the country.
ОтветитьGod bless Rhodesia
ОтветитьWhite Rhodesia was truly proved right. Look at the horror show that “Nation” became. If anyone alive could’ve predicted the horror that would in the absence of the white government they would have never rebelled. Again this is a true story of tragedy that needs to be reminded to all other nations facing similar circumstances.
ОтветитьThat's a joke
Ответитьdonkey kong soundtrack 😂💀
ОтветитьMy grandparents fought in this war :) not that its a good thing but i just feel included
ОтветитьIs the sad Ian cartoon supposed to be funny? Zimbabwe is a failed state now. Ian was right. So much suffering there now is that humorous? Wait ur 15? 👏
ОтветитьHow are you able to use major songs like Satisfaction in a YT video?
ОтветитьThey're using Donkey Kong Country music in the background LOLOLOL
ОтветитьSounds like they weren’t ready for a statehood
ОтветитьPugnamus Amo Leo.
Mugabe is a war criminal.
They were betrayed
ОтветитьThanks for posting
ОтветитьWhite genocide. And now it's in the west.
ОтветитьSome people hate freedom . Africa for Africans deal with it
ОтветитьYou must've went to a really good high school.
ОтветитьWhites bring peace and prosperity. Rhodesia becomes one of the most developed nations in Africa with one of the strongest economies on the content.
Blacks decide that what was shared with them now unilaterally belongs to them and momentarily unite against evil whitey, only to immediately revert back their base tribal instincts and start killing one other.
Out numbered and abandoned by their own people, whites cut their losses and leave. A corrupt African dictator takes over and remains in power (by force) for decades.
Zimbabwe now ranks between 17th and 25th in GPD depending on the year. Nearly half of the population lives on less than $3 a day. 40% live in "extreme poverty." Inequality, crime, and violence in the country is far, far worse than it ever was during white rule.
Poetic.
From being the bread basket of Africa to being a basket case.
Ответитьnot the donkey kong theme song
ОтветитьThis video is a piece of rubbish and totaly inaccurate. You have no concept of the truth or the history. This was not a war between whites and blacks. More than 60% of the Rhodesian Army comprised black soldiers. Blacks played a vital role in the in the BSAP, the Scouts, the SAS not to mention the RAR. The tribal Africans were tortured and raped by the terrorists. Their villages were burned down by them. The Rhodesian Army did all they could to help and certainly did not deprive them of food.
ОтветитьBlack Leaders make the worst leaders in the whole world. What banking system or corporate interest is going to invest in an all black society. None. So their black population suffers along with other racial majorities!.
ОтветитьGreat video bud, well done.
ОтветитьHail the last White tribe of Africa 🇫🇷
ОтветитьThis video is sorely lacking in accuracy and fact.
To begin with Rhodesia was unique in the British Empire in that it was never a colony nor a Protectorate. It was, and always had been Independent. It had actually been sold to the white settlers by the British Government.
Other matters to consider is the legality of Britain's demand for U.N .sanctions and the U.N. Eagerness to apply them. If, as claimed by Britain, Rhodesia was a colony of Great Britain they were asking the international community to apply sanctions against themselves! That notwithstanding, the U.N.charter states that such action can only be taken against a sovereign state and that state must the opportunity to defend itself. Neither of these criteria were met, Rhodesia was not recognised as a sovereign state and was never permitted to present its case before the Security Council.
The Rhodesia story is complex and needs to be considered from 1888, rather than the simplistic view of 1964.
You did a good job trying to present it subjectively based on the information you had. I feel like it was somewhat tainted by the western misinformation machine.
Rhodesia without a doubt would have been in a better position under Smith than Mugabe. Smith had morality. Mugabe had no qualms with murder and genocide and at the end of the day the lack of Western mediation left Smith to fight the endless Soviet/PRC funding by himself.
Because of the cluster*&k that was Vietnam the west was hesitant to get involved. Similar to what Azerbaijan has done to Armenia in the shadow of the the russia/Ukraine conflict the soviets/PRC were able to inject resources into Rhodesia unopposed.
Smith wanted educated voters. He did not believe in giving the vote to the uneducated because they do not have the intelligence to see through the bullshit of Mugabe because they are blinded by colour. I have no doubt that at all times, Smith's primary focus was to ensure the prosperity of Rhodesia. Within 1-2 generations of his leadership the country would have been an economic powerhouse. As he alluded to in his speeches there were many African countries so blinded by the bright lights of independence without any infrastructure to support it so they then ended up begging for financial support from outside the nation. Smith had Rhodesia in a position to paddle its own canoe - the problem was he didn't have the immorality to eradicate the cancer within his country that was zanu/zapu.
Britain betrayed Rhodesia and now betrays its motherland by facilitating unvetted illegal immigration.
ОтветитьAnd the most brutally oppressive towards children of the motherland.
ОтветитьThose so called Rhodesian soldiers were savages who raped, maimed and killed children of the Most High. Upto today the trauma still ravages those of us who witnessed that brutal war?
ОтветитьHow's that black minority rule working out for you Zimbabwe??? 🤣😂🤣😂
ОтветитьThis video is the story of Rhodesia, a land both fair and great...
on the 11th of November, an independent state

ОтветитьHello everyone, I’m the creator of this video and I have a little message.
I’ll try to keep it brief. I was 14 at the time of making this video, but I did mention in some comments I was 15 only so I wouldn’t get made fun of or for someone to discredit me for my young age.
Additionally, this was my first full scale video I’ve ever made and looking back on it now, it was edited really terribly and the audio is really unbalanced and makes for a really uncomfortable viewing experience, sorry about that. But, to defend myself I made this whole video the day before it was due so I didn’t really care much about the technical stuff I just focused on turning it in.
Finally, I’ve gotten a lot of… comments… on the historical accuracy of this video. I didn’t really intend for it to be an educational video for the public, rather, it’s intended use was for my AP Human Geography class, (not exactly scholars or former Rhodesian citizens), so I’m sorry and I admit that there may be a lot of inaccuracies so please don’t use this as a primary source for research. To get a bit of the story in a nutshell? Sure. But please, if you’re genuinely researching this topic, it’s extremely complex, so I suggest taking your research to more trusted platforms.
Thanks for making this video blow up! Really wasn’t expecting it and thanks for the supportive… (and not so supportive) comments. I sort of just made this for fun because I really enjoy history so don’t critique my music choice because I thought it was fun :)
P.S. I am so, so, so, so sorry about the constant mispronunciations in this video. If it makes you feel better, I say Rhodesia correctly now :)
