Whats Roland going to do about the two , not just one live audio looper bugs ? Huge reason why I bought this machine for $1000 .
ОтветитьHow does the scatter function work for external instruments controlled via MIDI?
ОтветитьThis machine is fucking madness. Not for beginners for sure LOL.
ОтветитьHello there. Nice tutorial. The MC-303 was my first groovebox and years later I bought the JX-305, so one of the reasons I bought this one was nostalgia. 😊
The other reason though was the live looping part, where I wanted to replace my RC-600 in my live setup. Though 2 things are withholding me from this:
1. I didn’t find a way to quickload projects. Doing this during a gig via the menu is nearly impossible.
2. Vocal looping is not very efficient.
Can you please help with some advice ? 😢
Cheers
Why can't I get the Filter, Mod, or FX knobs to do anything to the incoming EXT IN or Returns?
ОтветитьI am trying so hard to understand why I cannot send the 8 tracks from the mc-707 to 8 separate tracks on Ableton Live. Is that possible? I selected the mc 707 as my audio input, and selected sync from the midi tab of ableton settings. I also made sure that the usb mode on the mc 707 is on vendor, but nothing, I can get maximum 3 tracks working separately and the rest would just not working.
I have a Mac Mojave 10.14 and I run Ableton 11
Wait, you can use the return input as an audio input? So, the MC-707 is an 4in/6out audio interface? That's better than I thought!
ОтветитьNice! Is there a video manual for the 101 as well?
ОтветитьHow do i save a drum kit i made with samples, so i can import it into a different project, or even export it to another Roland device, like from 707 to 101? thanks!
ОтветитьThis video series is so helpful and appreciated. Thank you so much for the care, detail and clear presentation.
ОтветитьReally superb how Roland has set up the various learning resources for the MC, each tailored to different learning styles. Great guide to the 707. After going through the guide, it is clear the 707 has an impressive functionality. All the little workflow optimizations and considerations designed to help ensure the creativity keeps flowing are especially nice. Exquisitely done.
ОтветитьWhy didn't they put in lazy chop or at least chop into 8 or something like that?
ОтветитьThat duplicate shortcut 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 just what I needed
ОтветитьCan you use a midi foot switch to start recording while playing guitar for example ?
ОтветитьThis 3 part tutorial is the best on YT for the 707. Dustin clearly has had training as a trainer.
Ответитьneed some help,no matter what i do my recording of audio input randomly either goes to sample saved or export(to the export folder).Im doing the same excat steps and the mc 707 randomly picks where to save.I want my recording to all go to the export folder which it is not doing-is this a bug/glitch?im at 1.81
Ответитьмощная машина , очень мощная, спасибо
ОтветитьHi Dustin, thanks for a great video! It is helping me to understand the 707 much better. Just one question, when you input external audio can this audio be recorded or just goes directly to the output mix? Thanks again, cheers!
ОтветитьI like how this tutorial goes in to the details
ОтветитьAmazing presentation really! Can you select a Mod or MFX, record automate it and then go change assigned parameters? Or are automations only possible with 3 parameters?
ОтветитьCan you make a mc101 tutorial?
Ответитьmc707 is a seriously good piece of kit. v powerful
ОтветитьStill coming back to these video's to find out what I'm not using in 2022! MC-707 is so great and Roland - really great job in still providing great firmware updates! 1.8 update is awesome!
ОтветитьWhat is the demonstrators name ? Great explanations fella.
ОтветитьHow to set an external midi foot pedalboard to scene changes, please!
ОтветитьThank you for these videos!
ОтветитьThe Roland manual isn't very clear - what happens if I set my MC707 up to use an external fx chain - say I put it on the "delay" send/return... and also use an AudioInsert on say track 8 that says it inserts the audio from the 'return' inputs.
Will the signal from the return inputs then be sent to both the main mix (as it normally would, when using send/return) AND track 8, essentially doubling its output ?
Asking because it would be very nice to have an external fx chain (be it delay send or reverb send) which output I could route to track 8 of the MC707, to enable dub style mixing..
(using the fx knob to feed the fx track signal back into itself, using the fader on the fx track, etc)
But that won't work if the return signal will also be sent to the main mix.
If that's the case, my solution would be to use the send out to the fx chain, but have the fx chain output connected to the Ext in instead of the return.
That way I could use AudioInsert on say track 8 and insert the audio of the Ext in, thus having the fx chain output on track 8 - enabling me to use the fx knob on track 8 for feedback fx...
Dustin is the best roland presenter period. Love this dude. Really makes the gear shine in various ways. I love my Mc-707. Awesome machine.
Ответитьif you have multiple drum tracks and switch from drum track a to drum track b or c, the pad you used last in drum track a is the current pad you are working on in drum track b or c. it would be much better if you are working on the last pad you were on that track, and not highlight the pad used on another track. its confusing and workflow interrupting. please fix that easy thing :D
Ответитьfantastic tutorials thank you so much!
ОтветитьHey, undo function is lit, also please let it safe the octave of the pads in the tracks. it always goes back to 0 when switched off and on again, cheers
ОтветитьNot one pleasant sound came out of the scatter effects
ОтветитьHave you understood how the "scene chains" function works? I did not understand whether it is possible to save a scene as a set of clips and then call them in a chain without specifying the next clip number inside the clip.
Ответитьgreat tutorials guys!! I learned a lot... more videos of this, please. It helps a lot in the improvement of experience with roland products.
ОтветитьReally excellent tutorial. Well done Roland.
ОтветитьHow do you take a wave file and get it into the sample slice window directly? I’ve been putting it in a tone track, then resampling it to get to the slicer, but I feel like there should be an easier way.
Also, how do you change instrument per clip on a track? I switched an instrument today on clip 2 and clip 1 change was effected
Nicely done.
Ответитьroland verselab MV-1 is a way better choice for less money and much more fun....
ОтветитьLoved this series. My MC707 will arrive in 2 days time and I feel I am very well primed to be creative from the off thanks to this excellent set of videos.
ОтветитьWe need a new MV-8800 with new daw and send returns on it as well
ОтветитьBrilliant presenter, great content. This has really cleared up a lot of confusion for me, thanks :)
Ответитьso what if i just want to sync tempo with my akai force using the force as master clock, anyone know how to do this, im doing what i THINK i should do but its not quite working
ОтветитьSay I have an external midi device setup like in the video and I put in a sequence. Can you adjust gate length, velocity and pitch per step and how? I did not see this in the manual or anywhere I looked.
ОтветитьHoly menu diving Batman!!!!!! 😜
ОтветитьVery cool feature explanation of this great MC-707 - GOOD Job!
ОтветитьBest Groovebox!
ОтветитьHello, dustin speaks about the recordings/samples are saved in the projekt menu. but how can i geht the recordings/samples i can only edit the samples. but how i can go from there. for instance: load to drum rack or as a tone oder looper sample. in which file of the sd card they are? can someone help me please...
ОтветитьTalking this long on subjects such as these without saying the words "um" and "uh" or getting tongue-tied takes some talent. Seriously, job well done Roland and Dustin on clearly explaining so many features with such precision!
ОтветитьThese videos are helping me a lot. Thanks. On a side note, every time he says, "Very Powerful", take a drink of whiskey. You'll get toasted.
