The commentators praising this remind me of people flocking to see circus animals doing silly tricks for human entertainment, totally disregarding and/or being unaware of animal welfare. RIP Matine. Horses are so noble

It is a perverse and corrupt system! Equestrian sport is one of the few disciplines where Germans still win medals. Which means there is no motivation to change anything about the system. It works and a lot of money flows, horse welfare falls by the wayside and the Germans are also terrible with their animal cruel methods (!) on horses. With Wendy, Isabell Werth rides a horse owned by Andreas Helgstrand at the 2024 Olympics, who is banned until 2025 for systematic animal cruelty (!). It is absolutely dubious to support such brutal methods or to use them yourself. This horse's will was systematically broken. The scandals add up and are unfortunately common practice in the industry. I speak from experience, I've seen enough. What is sold to the public as beautiful and harmonious is, behind the scenes, a brutal (!) catastrophe for the horse. Ultimately, the associations, those responsible and controls fail on a large scale. We have to take active action against this and no longer tolerate things like this!

Gruselig ,einfach diese Tuniere nicht mehr unterstützen. Anatomisch haben diese Reiter (für mich Herrenmenschen) nur ihren kurzfristigen Erfolg im Sinn und verwechseln Vergewaltigung mit Liebe. Was hinter den Kulissen so abgeht wird ja Gott sei Dank immer sichtbarer dank dieses Mediums. Wenn die Reiter wüssten das es mit dieser Inkarnation nicht vorbei ist und sie eventuell im nächsten oder diesem Leben viel zu Lernen und zu Vergeben haben, was ein hinschauen auf die Ursache für jeden in seiner Seele bedeutet. Es ist ein Unterschied wie man jemanden anschaut ....mit geilen Augen oder mit liebenden Augen. Das Wort Pferdematerial beschreibt diese Geilheit vom Feinsten,es spricht nicht die Liebe. Alte gesunde Pferde gibt es kaum noch auch im Freizeitreiter Umfeld......Unsere Tiere fühlen alles,ganz besonders unsere Pferde. Möge immer das Herz voran gehen.....dann würde so etwas egogesteuertes Reiten ein Ende finden und nicht mehr beklatscht werden. Schade das die wirklich tollen Reiter darunter leiden werden,wenn sie nicht endlich aufstehen und sich mutig gegen ihre Reiterkollegen abgrenzen. Grundsätzlich müsste diese Aufgabenreiterei ein Ende finden und neu überdacht werden, dringend. Die Tuniere sind für mich reine Egoveranstaltungen mit immer größerem Ausmaß an nicht mehr hinnehmbaren Verhalten geworden. Die FN hat auch dazu beigetragen dass alles so den Bach runtergegangen ist mit ihren Prüfungen für immer jüngere Pferde die körperlich ,geistig und seelisch noch gar nicht in der Lage sind .Viele Züchter haben von diesen Abkürzungen der Zeit profitiert. Alles Gan z fein eingefädelt und nun ist es verfilzt das Ganze. Viel Freude beim entwirren des Ganzen.....

How in gods name does one get a horse to dance, and switch its tail in rhythm like that?

The mare keeps cranking her tail.That is not a happy horse, and her face is "beind" her way of going. That all tells me she has been forced, despite her grace and obvious talent and athleticism.

These movements, in my opinion, are so totally foreign to the way a horse moves, that I really don't want to know how they train them to do this! 🤔

Beautiful mare. She was behind the bit during the whole performance, she was swishing her tail like a helicopter during the whole performance, and her eyes were rolling back in her head. She was extremely uncomfortable. I suspect she just got worn out.

If everybody is concerned a out the "abuse" ,take off the damn spurs!

am i the only one who sees the stress in this poor horse? the tail swishing against the spurs, the head and jaw pulled right back into her neck hence the foaming mouth, can this poor horse breathe? i wonder if she had a blue tongue? this is gut wrenching to watch.

All you haters! These horses are living better than you! Best food, immaculate barns! Best health care! They are living and treated like the Olympic athletes they are! They are living better than most Americans! And they wouldn't do it if they didn't love it! They are a 1200 pound animal, they do it because they love their job and treated like royalty!

How is this great? Upper lip stress, foam flying everywhere, tail swishing all signs of stress. Not to mention rolkur. I do not like competition arena. Too sad for me.

I am watching it now and beginning to hate everything about it. Poor creature!!
