You cannot tell when swimming that there are strong currents on the Alcatraz crossing but you can FEEL the temperature of the water
change in only a few strokes. There is mixing of the water and it shows there are currents there.

After years of swimming in the pool, I recently began doing the weekly swims with Pedro on Sundays. I am not yet crazy enough to go without a wetsuit, but I love it so much, he is such a joy to be around.
