How To Track Website Button Clicks In Google Tag Manager

Learn how to track website button clicks in Google Tag Manager.

Start here: tagmanager.google.com

*Click Class targets multiple buttons and is not a unique identifier. If you want to target a specific button, I would recommend finding the "Click ID"

*In the trigger set-up, it is possible you may need to use "contains" or "matches RegEX" instead of "equals" as I did. Please use the GTM preview mode to test your set up to make sure the event fires correctly.

*If your button links to a different website, use the "Click URL" option and provide the link as the Trigger.
