I didn't think the film was all that bad. I already know the story about them being life long friends since the Universal Studios tryout & Clint saving Burt's life due to a misfortunate chair to jaw injury stunt during filming that almost cost Burt his life.I hope Clint & Burt do another film together before they both pass on.

"City Heat" is a routine but still fairly watchable. I remember Clint Eastwood giving an interview when this came out. A clip was shown from the opening scene and Eastwood smiled slightly afterwards.

Even though this film wasn't as big a deal as a lot of people thought it would be, it was good to see them both on screen together. They should've done more films together while they were in their prime.

Though City Heat failed, i'm sure Clint & Burt, both avowed Cagney fans, would have reveled in the 30s setting. RIP Burt Reynolds.

Severely underrated gem. Seems people weren't ready for the two macho icons, Clint and Burt (RIP), to star together.

Okay movie, but not one of Eastwood's or Reynolds' best.

Of course he used his 'Dirty Harry' 44 Magnum sound effect.

A bad film. Clint hated it. Burt didn't like it either. Burt likes to tell a story about both of them getting fired from Universal on the same day. But it never happened. Clint didn't even meet Burt until after he started working on Rawhide in 1958. Clint was let go from his contract at Universal back in 1955. Burt was in his first year of college in Florida. Later in interviews, Burt actually admitted it never happened but liked to tell the story to get a laugh.

City Heat trailer.... the one trailer where Optimus Prime is the announcer, and a cover of a Judy Garland song is heard near the end.

I like this movie, but the trailer is awful. I am sure the quality of this trailer had something to do with the box office take

Too bad it wasn't a more serious film. Clint plays his part well, but the character for Burt was out of place. Made him look like a wimp.

Loved it! I wish movies nowadays would be just like this movie. Time surely cannot kill this legendary right here!

I liked it, I think people were expecting too much from this movie, but for me it was good.

A more appropriate title for this film would be: Clint Eastwood Constantly Emasculates Burt Reynolds: The Movie. But the big problem with this film is that it's not funny.

I really enjoyed this movie. Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds have excellent chemistry. The scene where they were both pulling out their guns was priceless.

You just walk right down there. I was hiding. I had it all wrong. That was a homage to the Dirty Harry movies. Just go to show that Clint Eastwood can make fun of himself.

Never seen this movie or even heard about it till now but I feel like this was a missed opportunity. Again, never seen it, but I feel that they should have gone with a serious take and had Burt play a different take then his usual comedy stick. I love his comedy, but this would have been an interesting turn to do a serious movie with the two of them, especially since Clint doesn't seem to be tapping into comedy here.

This movie was a lot of fun I enjoyed it when it came out and I own it on vhs, I still watch it today😊
