Awesome video!
ОтветитьAwesome classic!
ОтветитьHer acting style works only in silent films. I think she could have learned a better tecnique but...
ОтветитьThanks for posting!
ОтветитьShe's really beautiful, even with those unflattering 192O's short hairstyles .
ОтветитьVery good acting, Pickford was fantastic, good plot, very good dialogue and a believable film, excellent! The ending with her testifying to a lie to get her dad off a murder charge was typical effort by the film industry (who are mostly out of touch with reality) in effort to encourage eliminating death penalty which is ludicrous but was being widely promulgated at time. Her fathers speech was excellent about killing innocent man and willing to pay with his own life.
ОтветитьWow! What a movie........great viewing. Thanks for posting it.
ОтветитьI rather enjoyed this film, Mary Pickford's performance was so delightful I can see myself watching these several times more.
ОтветитьBoring!!!!!!!
ОтветитьPoor Mary Pickford...terrible acting!
ОтветитьMary Pickford won an Oscar for this movie.
ОтветитьThe Tin Man...
Ответить유튜브로 오랜만에 이 영화를 다시 볼 수가 있군요.
ОтветитьMary Pickford is AMAZING too bad the ending is so depressing 😔
ОтветитьToo painful a movie to watch
ОтветитьI enjoyed this movie very much. Although a little melodramatic , Ms Pickford's performance DID evoke the intended emotional response it should have. I can see why she was so popular in her day, she has a very appealing screen presence. By today's standards however, this "sweet" and "heartfelt" performance, wouldn't even be nominated for an Oscar, let alone win one. (Compare to Bette Davis' exquisite performance in "Of Human Bondage" a couple of years later, when she didn't even receive a nomination).
ОтветитьIf they do a Biographical Film about Mary, I think Drew Barrymore ought to handle the Roll? - Most appropriate, considering her Ancestoral association? ... Mary was born in Toronto... Canadian, & one of the First Hollywood Stars in the Traditional sense
ОтветитьIts 2022 now almost 100yrs ago and such a good movie
ОтветитьHow the heck she won over Jeanne Eagels in The Letter?! Her performance is not even mediocre!
Ответить고전찬미 감사합니다
ОтветитьWow almost 100 years ago 96 to be fact second day of 2023 ! Thank you for your kindness in keeping these great classics out there and alive for all to enjoy .God Bless you all .❤️🙏🇨🇦
ОтветитьMarry Pickford she was such a tiny Littlelady , but I’m guessing the company liked that ,I’ve seen two movies were she played a little girl and she could pull that off greatly !
Ответитьlol Just imagining how people would react to the plot if this was made today.
ОтветитьBeen curious about Mary Pickford for some time, and finally watching something. Disappointed at what a squeaky voice she had. I much prefer Louise Brooks, even though she only stuck around for a handful of talkies.
ОтветитьGracias
.I remember seeing this movie on T.C.M. years ago.
LOVE THE FASHION AND DANCE SCENE .
thank U ❤
If you thought the actors in Grease were old teenagers, they are nothing on 37 year old Mary playing one. Only thing I will say is she didn't look her age, helped by her tiny frame & petite figure.
ОтветитьThank you for this wonderful drama ! I enjoyed them so much 😊
ОтветитьShe had a lovely speaking voice. I wish she had made more talkies.
ОтветитьJohnny Mack Brown is so good looking
ОтветитьThis film is so bad its good, i love it
ОтветитьMary was almost 40 when she played this teenager. The scandal in 1928 was that she cut her curls to play Norma and was looking for more adult roles (??). The Oscar did not help extend her career.
ОтветитьWonderfully played as it may have been played on the live stage. Heavy melodramatic performances typifies the transition. A great trip back in the virtual time machine. Mrs. Buddy Rogers for 42 years. That says a lot about Mary Pickford - and Rogers as well. Coquette, Mary's first talkie. Thank you Hey Joe.
ОтветитьDid people talk this way back on the 20s? The clothing is funny. I know that was those times, but it’s still funny.
ОтветитьYou don't know what gift you gave me by uploading this movie.
I'm crying🧚♀️❗
Thankyou ✔️
