A possible fix for the lag spikes is capping your FPS (in minecraft) to the your monitor's refresh rate. This makes it so your GPU doesn't process frames that you don't see, and recall seeing your FPS being uncapped.

You have a water hydra head in your museum you can use for eye drops :)

maybe the amount of particles makes your game lag? no clue other than cap your frames if you have it on unlimited

Hi zach, one possibile fix, I've had the exact same issue in dungeons, my issue was that my RAM allocated was too low, or depending on some settings minecraft might be drawing more than usual(a restart could usually fix this) However I would at first just try allocating a bit more RAM or limited another applications round usage.
