When I first moved to America back in the 70s, some kids I met told me about trick or treating.
I thought to myself, what a country! All you have to do is put on a costume and people will give you free candy?!?! So, the next day, I put on my cowboy outfit and went trick or treating. I enjoyed it so much, I went out the next day and every day for about a week until it got back to my parents that I was going house to house "begging for food".
That was in June so I think the neighbourhood thought that I was a little bit mentally challenged. 🤠
