Nintendo getting rid of kart customization was a smart move, now it boils down to driving skills 😁

IGN is running out of content, so they just cycle between admiring and criticizing the new Mario Kart.

Here's my tips:
There's zero point in doing the boost at the start. You can go from 1st to 19th literally in the blink of an eye, and your items at the front are garbage and will not help you win at all.
Try and stay in position 10 to 5 and keep that mega item to get to the endline to try and nick the win.
Coins are half the speed increase of 8, so don't go out of your way to get any.
If you get first and have a mushroom speedboost, keep it as it can make you immune to the blue shell if you use it just as the blue shell goes down to hit you after circling.
And finally, be lucky. This game is more RNG than skill.

The starting boost in knockout tour is so irrelevant.

If you race as Bowser other characters are afraid to upset you and generally avoid you at all costs.

I have been pulling my hair out trying to get “3 star” ratings on each of the KO Tour courses. Being in first place thru every single checkpoint to achieve that rating is near impossible with how wild the item use is by the coms.

Man I didn’t think it would be so hard to get into the lead at the end because it seems like 1st places takes a huge lead over you.

Trying to play this one 150cc literally requires so much luck and feel like having cheats would make it more fun and less stressful
