ОтветитьThey suck, I'm taking notes on what companies use them and I will refuse to do business with those retailers. They changed my address the day they took over ge credit and refused to take responsibility. When blaming the post office didn't work they stuck it on Sam's club.
ОтветитьThis is the worst bank, I earned an reward and they will not give me my money since February 15. I believe they are trying to see if I will give up! Not this year! I will get my money!
ОтветитьThey have to process the payment for the day THEY receive payment not the day you set your banks bill pay. Blame your bank not synchrony.the day they get it is the day it will post for. That's like if you sent a check and dated it for the 1st but didn't mail it out until the 5th. They also have US representatives you can ask to speak to anytime you call.

ОтветитьMade all my payments on time then they dropped the credit limit to the balance that i owe. this maxed out the card and it affected my credit report in a negative way. That's how synchrony treats customers that pay on time every month. DON'T DEAL WITH THIS BANK

I'm in a process of investigation. Failed complain to FDIC and BBB. Synchrony Bank is very uncooperative as well as Amazon. I'm totally pissed of - those MF should be in jail.
I purchased items from AMAZON using synchrony bank card. Returned items and Amazon listed them as REFUNDED, altought synchrony bank charged my bank account for hte amount and never refunded back. I have not noticed this fraud for almost 2 years so all items I returned back to amazon were never refunded. It added up to hundreds of dollars. I'm in a process of investigating with them and was explained by Synchrony Rep that it will take months. They are completely unresponsive.

ОтветитьWell i had a bad experience with them . I applied for credit recommended by a medical clinic to pay for medical services. I got denied any credit at all when I have a high credit score and low debt and secure income with no explanation also called and talked to somebody and they couldn't tell me why I got denied. Either I am blacklisted for some reason with them or they are in deep financial trouble and don't want to give out credit at the time. Just fyi there is no reason for me to have been denied I get loan offers and pre approved credit card offers all the time I just heard they had 2 year no interest and for the medical service that I want it for it would have been great. Don't bother with this bank people.

ОтветитьThis bank is horrible. I co-signed for my son's friend to purchase a vehicle and for 3 wks,they dont stop calling me. I did this in good faith and as I favor for my son and when I tried to talk to them,I got a nasty man demanding immediate payment

ОтветитьIf you're using your bank's bill pay, stop doing that. Make the payment from Syncrhony's website or phone system. Those payments often post same day. You could also consider setting up autopay with Synchrony. These options would likely avoid the late fee.
ОтветитьI am SOOOO in sympathy with your experience sir!! They say that I ordered a streaming service ( Amazon Prime) which I did not order and that additionally that it was delivered to an address I no longer was at!. I went to my bank (JP Morgan Chase) and they gave me credit 4 the amounts in question. I initially used the store card then somehow they got ahold of my bank account and charged that. Chase went to bat for me and credited me for the 4 months I supposedly used Amazon Prime at the address I no longer was at! I ended up asking for a supervisor when I couldn't understand the heavily accented phone person and I could not get a last name for the supervisor. He would NOT give me his last name!! Amazon and Synchrony Bank are HORRIBLE.

ОтветитьI bank with the 4th largest credit union in the nation (based on asset size) and recently tested out the time for payments to be posted by my creditors when I push the payment from the cu vs. paying on the creditors site and allowing them to “pull” the funds. I paid the second largest financial institution in the US (ranked on assets) and the third largest (Citibank). When I allow Citi to pull the payment it is 24 hours till my payment clears. However, when I pushed the payment it took 6 days…on BOTH Citi accounts. Now I am not defending Synchrony, because I have my own issues with them, but…the posting delay may NOT be a Synchrony issue. Paying the second largest financial lender posted next business day. Paying even smaller creditors, posted next day. BUT paying Citibank was painfully long from “pushing” the payment and having it post. You may need to reevaluate your payment process. Personally, I would pay them earlier in my billing cycle, clear up the amounts owing regardless of your opinions about doing so and then arm yourself with all your data and file disputes to remove the negatives from your bureaus. I’m afraid you are cutting off your nose to spite your face…for a minimum of seven (7) years.
ОтветитьI know it was a while ago, but they have under a 2-star review out of thousands of reviews. After ~100+ hours on the phone with them ( recently I've been recording the calls WITH the LEGAL consent from the rep). This has taken a toll on me, and I'm sure many others have had similar experiences. Please message me or reply to the comment if you're interested in trying to make a difference and standing up to this injustice. Whether it's a class action we put together or if you'd be willing to take the stand as a character witness in a suit A file against this blatant lousy business practice, it would be helpful. It's several years later, and they have been enabled and are yet to be held accountable. I've been calling them since 2023 and have over 100 hours (give or take) on the line with them, and I've been hung up on by reps of theirs IDK how many times. I know it's been a while but please, help me stop this and hold them accountable. They attempted to draft a total of 55,730.77 out of my account, since the time I reported that the charges of $12,8xx.xx were fraudulent.. And that doesn't account for ALL the times they added and removed credits, "Purchases" that don't exist, plus more. Just today, they admitted to keeping over $1,000 dollars in interest and late fees that they were not entitled to and had 0 consideration for giving me the 21.99% interest on that money that they have made with it since illegally and incorrectly taking it.
ОтветитьSynchrony Bank is currently charging me daily interest. I can't believe it. I've never heard of daily interest rate. It should be criminal.
