Patch 1.001.202 stealth nerfed Rocket Striders, ragdoll from inderect rocket hit is FAR less lethal, their rockets are far more consistent acting as a weakspot, better explosive VFX and they fire those rockets less often. Support Team member confirmed it was worked on via bug reporting system. Nothing about it in changelog.

I'd say if you're not keen on wearing heavy explosive armor, medium explosive res armor is really nice for being tanky against the bugs as well. Makes a lot of the medium bugs take 3+ swipes to kill you and when I've been playing in pugs it's been giving me way more room to play when my spacing and awareness isn't perfect, while also having reasonable mobility still.

Damn Clay! Nice run. This is very similar to the bug loadout I've been iterating on since the buff patches. Mine is more adapted to group play.
B52 enforcer medium/heavy hybrid armor with fortified, Crossbow, P-19 redeemer, gas grenade, Napalm eagle, MG sentry, supply pack, and the queso cannon. Having above 100 armor for the headshot reduction has been overlooked by most people I talk to. We'll get out of a hot and heavy mission with my mates, and I'll have 500+ kills with little to no deaths just covered in viscera! FOR DEMOCRACY!!!!

What are your tips and recommedations for the strafing run?

I've been running MG-supply pack on bugs, and i love finding a recoiless player to follow around. Clearing chaff and feeding rockets is fun.

My bug build is very similar! Crossbow & Bushwhacker combo, though I can’t give up my jump pack, so I use thermites for chargers and pair the crossbow with the Stalwart to cover what the machine gun sentry does here, then 500kg for BTs and orbital gatling for groups/breaches

I wish the Spear had more rounds, at least 6, just to give RR some competition. There are too many cons when compared to the RR. I don't think the faster reload is enough, and the auto-targeting can be a double-edged sword. Anyway, loving the solo gameplay and builds. Keep em coming.

it seems like when there's any sort of spewers the breaches are slower, I've been running Blitzer, Grenade Pistol, stun nades (don't have the chem warbond yet) Quasar, Laser buddy, Orb naplam, and Mg turret, its been pretty good to me other than its hard to clear bug holes without churning through resupplies for the pistol.

I think they're intentionally lowering the bug and bot spawns because it can cause crashing if you kill a fuck ton and they don't knkw how to fix it, until they do i hope they add in spawn patrols thats what really made the game challenging and fun at the same time.

If i'm going into a match and I think I gotta solo, I run medium grenade armor (I could probably swap this to EXP though), Blitzer shotgun, Grenade Pistol, Gas grenades with Recoilless Rifle, MG Turret, strafe run and (flex) so not too different. It I wanna have fun though I go light grenade armor, same weapons, whatever nades I want but probably thermite or stun. Then I take: MG-34 or Stalwart (yes seriously) or Arc Thrower + Jetpack + EAT + Eagle Strafe. Then I become fast.

this build looks nice but i can NEVER give up my light armor, the movespeed and stamina regen is just too good to leave

This combo is not great for me. Tried it on a flyer planet got swarmed. Tried it on a jumper seed planet, got swarmed. Constantly running out of stamina...getting swarmed by either jumpers, hunters or flyers. This is not a regular player build. I couldn't use this on level 8 which is my normal solo level on bugs and bots.

huh this is very close to my loadout Exploding Crossbow, Gas grenades, Recoilless, interesting to see your secondary, and armour.. gas grenades and exploding crossbow are soo good!

Every armour feels punishing to use now since the change. Heavy armour puts you in too much danger for a measly 25% resist to help with at all. Light armour feels like rice paper. Medium armour is simply a middle ground between these two bullshit effects.

I feel like you absolutely need to use some passives to make weapons viable these days, too. Like the ergonomics on the HMG without peak physique, it feels horrendous to use, man. Like, it fucks with its ability to actually function in the game, taking off peak physique. Like you can't track fast moving enemies like shriekers anymore. Your guy moves the gun too slow to actually track them. WTF is that? Where you need to wear armour to make the weapon function properly? It should be like this : the weapon functions properly, but feels more powerful when you put the bonus armour on.

Funny I have the same build the only thing différant that i don’t use the napalm barrage but I use the rocket sentry

I think u are late to the party EVERYONE uses the crossbow 😂 its by far the most powerfull weapon you dont even need a recoilless just take at grenades and a mg or eat plus supply pack and whatever else u like. Tbh crossbow just makes the missions trivial as theres no downside to it.
