Coming back to this. Have been looking for the 6x7 frame insert but no luck :(
ОтветитьSo have you moved away from the 67?
ОтветитьWhen I see GX680 with Horseman VH, I choose VH immidiately for size & weight and more movement for the back also, I don't need purchase VHR for rangefinder when you already have ground glass. Put some lens Schneider, Rodenstock or any DIY lens and for future can use with 4x5 later( my dream is 6x12), beside VH/VHR can take Rb67 back and next them I will purchase 6x7/6x8 back
Ответитьi hate to be that guy but whats the name of the song thats at the start of the video while youre showing of the camera and talking about it
ОтветитьLove it. I've been wanting one of these for a while. I think I might have to make one my next camera purchase.
ОтветитьYet another excellent and informative video from you Kyle. You have been one of my main inspirations in getting back into film photography. Keep educating and keep inspiring.
ОтветитьI justn got one based on your video and some subsequent research. I got the GX680 III and off to the races. How you carry it to airfields and further is beyond me :-) I do studio portraits. But thanks for the video because you got me started on this journey.
ОтветитьTestimony to Fuji's faith in improved film emulsions.
Ansel Adams was forced to use 8x10 cameras because Ansco film, frankly, was not high accutance! Galleries refused to accept grainy photos as 'art.'
Then, 4x5 was the big dog.
Fuji created a 'view camera' system for 120, but it still can't compete with an old Graflex or the Silvestri system. I have a Silvestri that goes from 6x6 to 6x12 with adequate shift . . . no tilt. No TTL mirror but I have a couple optical hoods, and a viewfinder with masks.
What about a Century Graphic 2x3? All the movements and rangefinder like a Leica. Couple hundred bucks and you're on your way.
Largest, excluding 6x9 roll film backs on a View Camera ;)
ОтветитьIsn't GW690 the largest medium format camera 📸 ?
ОтветитьThat makes my bronica s2 look tiny 😂
ОтветитьSeems like you could just use a roll film back on your 4x5.
ОтветитьWhat is your voice as a photographer? What are you trying to express?
ОтветитьStick to 4X5.
ОтветитьI never considered it at the time, the Mamiya RB67 seemed the obvious choice, ive collected seven of them so far!
ОтветитьI have dabbled in 4x5 and numerous medium format over the years. Looking for a younger system to do still life flowers and close focus. Is there a Macro lens or a lens you could reccomend that would get me close to my needs?
ОтветитьThinking of getting this camera. Just wondering how easy it is to get it serviced or if you ever needed to get yours serviced?
ОтветитьWhat about the batteries? i have read that they are so old you need to do some Mcguyver stuff to work around that. What have you done about that and what advice do you have?
Ответитьhad the mamiya rb6x7 , i thought that was big , the fuji looks even bigger
ОтветитьWhat a gorgeous camera ! Considering these are going for around 400-500$ with a lens these seem like an incredible bargain
ОтветитьHave you seen the Rollei SL66
ОтветитьI always wanted one of these. Beautiful camera. Superb lenses too.
ОтветитьI watched the video on a lark and the power of suggestion has piqued my interest. I am interested in finding out what the red flags are when searching for this camera, lenses and related accessories (film backs, viewfinders, etc?).I will do my research but don't be surprised if you hear from me with more questions.
ОтветитьYou should make a G viewfinder mount so you can check critical focus with a GFX100😁
ОтветитьVery cool camera. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьBigger than the Mamiya 6x7 AKA the shoebox? Liked my tiny Hasselblads.
ОтветитьSounds stupid, too much cost
ОтветитьNice
Ответитьwhy on fujii i see ugly sharpening, for two reason is not fair
ОтветитьFor those who do not believe in compromise, there is 6 x 9! That led me to buying the Fujica GL690 rangefinder camera recently, together with the 65, 100 and 180mm lenses. It obviously does not have the versatility needed for the work shown in the video but, of the medium format film camera choices out there, it turns out one of the more manageable. The weight, at around 1.75 kg with the 100mm lens fitted, is similar to a Nikon D850 with a zoom lens and the rangefinder focussing is decently accurate. It even has IBIS (of sorts) - i.e. Inertia Based Image Stabilization. This is on account of the weight, the smoothness of the leaf shutter and the decent ergonomics - so shooting hand-held is usually an option. And the image quality is top-notch. Just saying.
ОтветитьWhen do you plan to switch to a steam engine and punch cards?
ОтветитьInteresting to watch and hear for someone who shot max on 35 mm negative film with a SLR, then digital compact and who is ok with using his smartphone in the moment. 😉🤭
Your video reminded me of the analogue days.
Great video, can I ask what bag you use for taking it into the field?
Ответить"Not a camera for everyone" -sarcasm?
Ответитьplease make a video about the Fuji GX680 III
Ответитьbuy i phone , its well beyond your skills as a photographer , you showing garbage mate .
ОтветитьErik Satie ...music ...Nice :)!!!!
ОтветитьSo first you win the powerball lottery, then sell a kidney and take out a hefty loan, and THEN you might be able to afford to rent this beat over a weekend ;)
Ответитьthnx god we don't need to fuck with all this nowdays
ОтветитьHave you tried using your iPhone? Best photos ever.
ОтветитьThis is a camera which is not meant for everyone.
No shit Sherlock!
will it blend ? 😛
ОтветитьAmazing video, works and camera presentation, thanks for sharing this ! Do you know if by chance it's possible to use a gfx 50sII as digital back on it and if yes how ? thank you so much
ОтветитьSorry, the largest Fuji medium format camera was the 617. The. Next largest was the 6x9
ОтветитьYe purana he
ОтветитьIt's huge, but it's so beautiful...
ОтветитьO wow , i tried one month ago a mamya medium format analog camera from 97 (last year of produktion ) and i fell in love with analog photography .will def buy one medium format to shoot portraits with NeXT to my old 5d3s
ОтветитьReally liked this camera when it first came out, I remembered seeing it first in the pro shop when we would pop in to hire a biogon for the Hasselblad 500cm.
I was a assistant photographer at a television broadcasting company in Leeds.
I didn't own a medium format camera, only a Nikon fe
Did get to use a 5×4 Wista when I was studying for my diploma though, which was nice.
Loved these cameras with its movements and sleak design.
I did however get a bronica S2a later in life and was searching for those elusive bronica bellows with standard.
Great review and produced video. Liked it a lot!
I love that camera when you did show the Pentax and them the Fuji wow, at one time I had a Mamiya Sekor 35mm, I had also Pentax K1000, Nikon D90, D5600, D700, D750 and finally Sony A6000 and recently I got again the Panasonic Lumix DMC 200 2.8 from the 28mm to 600mm fix lens.
