PERISCOPE: ARTIST ENTREPRENEUR TRAINING is a year-long training opportunity that empowers working artists to see their creative practice through an entrepreneurial lens. Through an intensive business development curriculum, small group work with peers, and one-on-one mentoring with a business expert, participants prepare to take their careers to the next level. Participants also have the opportunity to present their business plans to the public and be awarded cash funding at the culminating event, the Periscope Pitch + Artist Entrepreneur Showcase.

At the Pitch + Showcase, Periscope graduates have the opportunity to share their work through a display of their own design and put their training to the test by taking the stage to pitch their new project, business, or concept to the community. An all-star panel of expert judges provides insights and feedback after each pitch, and audience members can vote to determine, in tandem with the judges’ scores, which artists receive awards. The 2023 Periscope Pitch + Artist Entrepreneur Showcase was held on September 13 at OZ Arts Nashville.
