Has the Dark Knight v The Batman been removed?
ОтветитьJust wish Riddler wasn't such an incel conspiracy theory allegory for modern day right wing politics.
ОтветитьI did not like the Batman. I didn't like the Riddler and the way he was portrayed. I didn't find any of the characters really that compelling. I also thought the story was lame.
ОтветитьI thought "Batman Begins" was far superior to "The Dark Knight". No - seriously.
Come at me.
Im glad this wasn't the first videos of yours that I watched. Your assessment misses on many marks. First, Nirvana was a shit band. Whiny, crybaby shit. I can see how someone who calls himself a cynic would like them, though. Second, this movie was emo AF. I assume that's your thing as well. You do fit the emo profile. 3. How could you miss Bruce seeing himself in the boy at the funeral? You might as well stamp "obvious" on the kid's forehead. 4. This movie was filled with modern, political (woke) bullshit, diminishing the entertainment value of it. I assume you can see that now that you've been doing this for a year and have called it out in less subtle films. GGs ... whatever the fuck that means.
ОтветитьIndeed
ОтветитьProbably the best video on YT regarding this new Batman movie. Well done, couldn't agree more
Ответитьwhat if batman has superpowers
ОтветитьMy favorite part is the seemingly first time he uses that squirrel suit to fly and looks fucking terrified. Flawless acting moment. We always see bats as a badass, so it's great seeing him do something for the first time and how human and relatable he can be
ОтветитьMy only disagreement is the Batmobile chase with Penguin had terrible spacial awareness and you could barely tell what was going on. However, unlike Nolan, that was a stylistic choice to make you feel claustrophobic and disoriented I feel. Where as Nolans is just bad editing.
ОтветитьDoodoo butter?!? 🤭
ОтветитьRogue 1, New batman & No way home. You got good taste boss. I been telling ppl since R1 came out it was highly underrated well written movie. Batman was outright fantastic. From the opening scene and the writing. Black Gordon was bomb too, same with Cat. Didnt even notice really. That guy was born to play Gordon. They both played their roles outstanding and those secondary characters who don't have crazy deep backgrounds have interchangeable races. Black Batman wouldn't really fit the society Bruce Wayne from. Gritty honest cop, hell yeah, jewl thief, why not. That's not deep deep. But you're not gonna make Luke Cage white and have him as the ghetto superhero either, it don't fit and it insults the audience. I'm not sure how they don't understand this notion.
Just let us all know when Netflix, Amazon or HBO Max wakes up and hires you for a project. I think you would be an amazing editor and writer. Ur the kind of guy Lucas needed around when making the prequels. Like George, ummmmm, more like Phantom circus act. This child can't act and hearing him deliver dialog makes my bowels move. 😂😂
All I wanted was that hallway scene from Seven. When the detectives get ahead of John Doe.
Ответитьwhats everyone's thoughts on the deleted joker scene from the movie? i personally loved it
ОтветитьI just discovered you! You are awesome!
ОтветитьI loved the scene where Batman thinks for a moment that riddle knows his true identity. He leans back against the wall and seems to sigh, glancing at the camera on the wall. So much is conveyed in those quiet moments. Also Pattisons eyes inside the cowl are so powerful. He makes his eyes actors.
ОтветитьOh, and you don't like Dan Snyder's DC stuff either! Now you've got a super fan!
ОтветитьLOL unsubscribed after seeing this. This movie is GARBAGEEEEEEE. Hhaahahah dude this is a 6/10 and absolutely terrible.
ОтветитьBro I was deciding between this and uncharted to see for my birthday
ОтветитьAfter a year to think about it, do you regret the MASSIVE amount of drugs you must have been on to declare this piece of garbage "a classic"?
ОтветитьI have a question. Since when is Gotham below sea level? Good movie. Terrible ending.
ОтветитьAlso mention the little moment were after revering up the battle mobile he goes and stalls it. Loved it as just shows how human Batman is he's still trying to figure things out and isn't this skilled hero people thinks he is.
ОтветитьI appreciate and enjoyed the different noir take on a Batman flick but I still can't help feeling like the frail Pattinson and the emo/grunge/brooding Bruce Wayne he played juuuuuuust didn't work for me. It's been a while since I saw the film but, from memory, there were some other things that didn't set well for me either. Having an explosion close enough to Batman's face that it blows him back 25 ft, rendering him unconscious and assumedly concussed but doesn't burn his exposed skin or damage his organs being a first. The aftermath of waking up from being unconscious in the police precinct (instead of a hospital? hello!) surrounded by police antagonists who didn't remove his costume/mask or even have him properly restrained in a holding cell. During his daring escape from the precinct, a pull of a ripcord exposes his go-go-gadget "squirrel suit", giving him the ability to jump to what should have been safety but he catches his gear on the edge of a bridge and slams his already-concussed FACE into the bottom of it, which should have decapitated him by the looks of it. That's some mighty fine plot armor you're wearing, sir! And the ending fight where he's taking rifle blasts to the chest without penalty. I get it...he's Batman and he's got an armored suit. He's still human though and the impact from a rifle at close range is going to be felt. Movie magic can stop the bullets but I feel like it would have been more impactful if he'd felt something with every hit. And the other scenes I mentioned should have been rewritten to be more believable. Overall, I would have liked to have seen a more physically vulnerable Batman this go around instead of a mentally unstable one. There's only so much a suit can protect you from. Pain and decapitation shouldn't be on those lists.
ОтветитьPattinson's a great Batman but a terrible Bruce Wayne. Although I've only seen it the first time so maybe my opinion will change. I've just been so busy this past year and my opinion of modern cinema tends to be pretty bad, so if I have time to rewatch stuff, it is usually things I absolutely know I love. This was an enjoyable movie and Batman is my favorite superhero by miles (RDJ portrayal of Iron Man and Spiderman across versions are up there too), but I just never embraced this as much. Also, the best Batman is easily Kevin Conroy and there is no contest. He is Batman. All of the major versions of Joker have been incredible, but no Batman on screen has been as deep and complex and incredible as Batman the Animated Series!!!
ОтветитьThe Snyder Cultists in the comments are hilariously pathetic. Your video is excellent.
ОтветитьWatching this video has made me want to watch this again. The first time I thought it was good but not exactly smack my arse and call me Sandra good. I wasnt a fan of the long reaching shots of him on his bike and stuff like that but I enjoyed all the action scenes and the story building. Gotta go back now. Seven which you draw obvious comparisons to is one of my top favourite films so need to check this film again
ОтветитьThe Batman is the greatest IMAX cinematic experience I’ve ever had. I have never smiled and had so many chills from a movie. I can’t wait for the second one and all the spin-off shows because they’re going to be incredible!!
ОтветитьCan you link to the re-edited chase scene from The Dark Knight?
ОтветитьI’m still fairly certain Pattinson’s Batman is somewhere on the spectrum. Once he puts on the mask he feels huge, and he is staring constantly. Without the mask, he shrinks in on himself and can barely look anyone in the eye, even Alfred.
🤷🏾
Lenny Kravitz daughter is good in this? Lol. She's the worst part
ОтветитьSnyder haters are funny. They're like listening to liberals talk about Trump. Batshit craziness
ОтветитьI loved this movie but I still think Batman Begins is the best Batman movie imo and then this is second
ОтветитьI think you're cinoletely wrong about bvs. It sounds more like a personal bias than anything else. Grasping for straws to attack something.
The batman was amazing. The first watch. Then it's too slow. Self indulgent. Too emo. It's too much of everything.
This was a genuinely crappy movie.
ОтветитьYouve given me hope for the future of dc. Havent gone to see another dc movie since batman v superman and suicide squad was the next and last one i tried. Ill watch this one and see
ОтветитьEvery Zack Snyder movie involving Superman was (as some have described it) "destruction porn". It lacks any emotional weight or impact on the characters.
Also, I like how in comparison, Reeves' Batman shows how impactful Batman's punches are against Nolan's Batman punches.
Did you just say sin city was a pile of shit? Get the fuck out of here, terrible lame as fuck take. I like you videos but thats cringe man. Sin city is way better than this pretty good batman
ОтветитьDude wtf, Sin City (2005) is like, the peak of Graphic Novel adaptations!!!
Ответитьthis movie took a lot of big swings - and it worked! Batman is best when he's a detective, and I'm so glad this movie leaned into that side of him.
ОтветитьAt first I thought Robert Patterson wasn't gonna be a good choice for playing Batman but boy was I wrong.. I ate my words and actually think Patterson is the best Batman I've ever seen done. I've played Arkham Origins so many times & this movie is everything I've ever wanted with Batman media!!
ОтветитьYup. Every point is SPOT. ON. Down to the freakin jaw line. Perfect video praising a perfect movie from a damn near perfect director. Love it.
ОтветитьCan you talk about the dark knight trilogy
ОтветитьYou need to watch the daredevil series if you haven’t already, season three is the best
ОтветитьPlease review the new hell boy. It's terrible and I need to hear someone else say so
ОтветитьThe way you broke this down and delivered such a great video just earned you a new subsciber. Been looking for what seems too long for a channel that can actually present facts in clear, well thought out and edited way. The way you tied in scenes from other movies is brilliant. I look forward to seeing more in the future.
ОтветитьI do hope you do a break down/analysis of The Penguin tv show. The Gotham Cinematic Universe, as I call it, is in fantastic shape.
ОтветитьThe Batman was okay, definitely not a classic, it's already aged.
ОтветитьMy favorite part is the beginning. It elegantly sets the tone and mood of the movie. I also appreciate how Matt Reeves allows scenes to breath. This movie does harken back to a bygone era of movie making.
ОтветитьGood observations with interesting comparisons. I can’t offer any counterpoints because I agree with most of your points. ‘Most’ because I have not seen the other Snyder movies besides Man of Steel so I shouldn’t really comment on them (but your criticisms of those movies are precisely why I stopped watching his work). I would even go further by saying that Nolan, while a brilliant conceptual director, is not only bad at directing fight scenes but he is terrible at intimate scenes: he is incapable of igniting the much needed chemistry between his characters which results a kind of hollowness in his Bruce/Batman’s emotional arc because we never feel it built up and, therefore, earned. This is cringingly obvious with Nolan’s approach, or lack of, with the character of Rachel (both times). Reeves, on the other hand, is not afraid to go soft and delicate when his characters call for: those brief moments between Batman and Selina have such tenderness and sensuality that beautifully expose different facets of this caped crusader and I’m here for it. I also love that in Reeves’ version Gotham is not just a location but a prominent character (something that was sorely lacking in all of the Nolan’s trilogy). A Gotham with a larger-than-life personality that entwines everything, drags everyone that comes across its path and we, the viewers, cannot help but be willingly immersed into its depravity.
What a memorable cinematic experience this was. Thanks for the video.
