The annual student research conference is held in tandem with each issue of ‘Astrolabe: A CIS Student Journal’, in which students inform, inspire, and inquire into the many issues and concepts that are touched by contemporary Islamic fields.
This year’s conference will explore a diverse range of topics, including the ethics of procreation, reporting child abuse, Qur’anic diplomacy, Islamic notion of sustainable architecture, women’s labor rights in the Gulf, Islamic legalism in Saudi Arabia through storytelling, and Shari’a-based explorations of SDG performance, margin trading, and short selling.
